Looks much better than the current version. Again the grille is SUVish and somehow it suits Wagon R much. They should bring it in India with a 1.1 version of K-series that is coming in Splash. Will be a good replacement. And considering the following this car has in India, will be surely a good success.

Bring it here, Suzuki. Now we are two generations behind international versions.

The stingray has a 4WD version ,the price sold there is equivalent to Rs 4.50-5.30 lakhs but as of now its coming to india is immposible and the newly launched wagon-r in japan i guess is a limited edition one.At present MSI is only concentrating on the splash and a-star.

The current Wagon-R facelift was designed in India for India. I think they will milk if for many more years before making a change.

Its gotten more boxy. Looks like they used a scale to design it. But if it works for those who pay up to own it, then i'm not complaining

Looks good & more masculine with honey combed grill. I think Suzuki is making this Honey grill combed a family look.

Don't forget wagonR is Japan's number 1 selling car, even today!
Its immensely practical. Just look at the number of cubbyholes and storage spaces.

From bad to worse, although a personal opinion.

Looks like they are trying to use the swift grill & lamps, stdisation to the core.

I think that in India the Wagon R will be replaced with Splash & this model will just confine to the Japanese market . Stringray model looks Great .

Well the new Wagon looks better but the tail lamps need attention. Infact the current one in India is Horrible from rear specially the bumper. It should continue with splash as it has its own practicality. Stringray is stunning one. Btw please post the link for the interiors of new wagon specially the dash.

DCEite, This is still the no. 1 Car in Japan because in Japan they prefer smaller and taller shapes, that's what aslo reflects in their architecture.

Wagon R fits the bill in perfect manner for that reason.

But in India it sells only for its sheer practicality and Maruti Badge.

2009 New Suzuki Wagon-R launched in Japan

Quote:
Suzuki has just unveiled its all-new Suzuki Wagon-R in Japan. It’s essentially the same car and model line-up as the Mazda AZ-Wagon, offering two different styling options, two engines and three choices of gearbox.

The base model is the Suzuki Wagon-R while the more upmarket racy version is the Suzuki Wagon-R Stingray, mirroring Mazda’s AZ-Wagon and AZ-Wagon Custom Style cars. You have the choice of either a 54 PS normally aspirated 660cc engine or a turbocharged 660cc offering 64 PS.
