The interior designers from BRABUS created an interior crafted from the finest leather and Alcantara, further enhanced by color-contrasted decorative seams. More than 1.2 kilometers of the finest thread are used in the waffle-design leather upholstery of the driveshaft tunnel. It is combined with custom-tailored BRABUS floor mats made from the finest lambskin.

The BRABUS developers further designed additional interesting features for the standard entertainment system of the Maybach. The 16:9 color monitors of the BRABUS equipment are integrated into the back of the front seatbacks and measure 15.2 inches (production: 9 inches).

At the push of a button the Maybach is transformed into a luxurious office on wheels: The monitors serve as computer screens for a computer custom-developed for use in a car. It features an 80 Gigabyte hard drive and is connected to the Internet at up to 1.5 times the speed of ISDN using a W-LAN and a fourplex GPRS router. For comfortable operation the system features a handy wireless keyboard and a wireless optical gyro mouse.

A USB 2.0 port harmoniously integrated into the center console allows connecting peripherals such as printers or digital cameras.

To stay online even outside the car the BRABUS communication specialists integrated an IBM X-series notebook into an electrically operated drawer in the trunk. The notebook is also connected via W-LAN to the car's computer network.

An additional 6-disc DVD changer rounds out the BRABUS interior for the Maybach.

Externally a Maybach refined by BRABUS can be distinguished by its custom-tailored BRABUS Monoblock VI light-alloy wheels with 21-inch diameter. The fully polished multi-piece wheels with six double spokes fill out the wheel houses of the Maybach perfectly. The rims come in size 9.5Jx21 on the front axle and in size 11Jx21 in the rear axle. Dunlop contributes high-performance tires in size 285/40 R 21 on the front axle and in size 325/35 R 21 in the rear.

The BRABUS air suspension unit lowers the ride height of the Maybach by about 15 millimeters without compromising its unique ride comfort.

BRABUS further refines the elegant lines of the Maybach with two auxiliary headlights integrated stylishly into the production front apron using two precise-fitting inserts. The auxiliary headlights function as daytime running lights.

Its 550-hp / 405-kW twelve-cylinder bi-turbo engine makes the Maybach a powerful car ex factory. BRABUS makes the sedan even more superior with the BRABUS SV12 bi-turbo increased-displacement engine using the tried and proven method of increasing displacement, in this case from standard 5.5 to 6.3 liters.

To facilitate the increase in displacement BRABUS fits the engine with a special crankshaft with longer stroke, precision-balanced piston rods and larger pistons. In addition the bore is increased and the cylinder heads are re-machined. Also part of the conversion are custom camshafts, newly programmed engine electronics and an exhaust system with metal catalysts, and dual oval-shaped exhaust tips.

After the conversion the twelve-cylinder bi-turbo engine delivers a maximum power output of 640 hp / 471 kW at 5,100 rpm and a gigantic peak torque of 1,026 Nm, available from 1,750 rpm.

Performance of the luxury sedan benefits accordingly: With BRABUS SV 12 engine the Maybach 57 accelerates bin just 4.9 seconds from 0 - 100 km/h. Top speed is an electronically limited 300 km/h. BRABUS exclusively uses ARAL high-performance lubricants in engine, automatic transmission and rear-axle differential.

I don't really love the Maybach, but, I can't deny that it is an absolutely fabulous car. With the Brabus engine and kit, it has just bettered itself even more. It weighs as much as a building and hits 100km/h in just 4.9 secs! Now that's serious pace. Add that to the Maybach's comfort levels and you have an almost unbeatable combination.

This Brabus certainly looks good . A magnificant job 640 hp is awesome and the car actually looks sporty wit those meaty alloys. And 300 kph is better than a 250 restricter. Atleast u touch the 300 magic mark

Cheers

The alloys look good, but dont suit a luxury car like the Maybach. Shud have had wheels like the RR Phantom.

Wonder how these flat tip xhausts sound???

brabus do like to limit their cars to 194 mph because the tire technology doesn't manage to keep up with the engine technology. but that SV12 biturbo is really some engine..just an infinite aura of torque surrounding the car. i think the managed to shove their SV12 engines into the bay of a SL 300..i think not sure. but that engine bay almost looked airtight. looked like somebody had melted the engine and pured it into the bay.
the boys of Bottrop do have a sense of humour after all.

Ported

I read somewhere that Michelin was developing XM-1 tyres which wud figuratively be good even at 200+mph.

Well if it does happen, Brabus would officially be changed from car modifier to space agency...lol

alright revv i got an update for you. GERMAN tyre maker Continental recently came out all guns to showcase it's new high speed rated tyre. it's an ultra-high-performance version of it's ContiSportContact 2 and it's called Vmax, rated at, hold your breath....224 mph or 360 kmph. in true german style, all the big names as far as tuning firms go were invited to the Nardo high speed bowl in italy. so they came with their road missiles, and they had a blast. 185+ mph would hardly raise eyebrows, and a stock 911 turbo ran it's claimed top speed of a 197 mph continously. the tuned Ferraris sufferred lots of problems, and then came the guys from '9ff' i don't know how many of you guys had heard of them but i haven't taken them seriously, till now.
the 9ff car based on a 996 turbo clocked a massive 244 mph or 386.6 kmph on the official timing gear, but clocked a MERE 231.2 mph on his GPS based timing gear. either ways, what a time. did me for the day.
