Murcielago replacement spied!

Lamborghini are presently testing the new Lambo in a modified Murcielago shell. It is believed to be the fastest Lamborghini yet.

Give the 4-door super sedans a rest. THIS is the real thing..

Don't worry, Spadival. I'm pretty sure Lambo will be launching this thing with some stunning alloys.
Come to think about it... when it comes to the Super/Hyper Car club... Lambo offer the best rims, right back to the days when the Countach and the Diablo had those brilliant 'telephone-dial' rims.

The supercar wars are alive and going strong. Today spy snappers caught the first test mule of the new Lamborghini supercar set to replace the Murcielago. With Ferrari, McLaren, Aston Martin, Pagani and Mercedes AMG all working on new supercars, there is no reason for Lamborghini to get left behind.

Although this Murcielago body shell could just be a power train mule, there is evidence that the new body will have a wider track as seen in the slightly flared out fenders. We can also see most clearly the RoaDyn wheel force measurement apparatus attached to the wheels.

Consistent with the recent Lamborghini Estoque Concept, it is speculated Lamborghini will once again reach back into their rich history and resurrect the Jota name, a one-off Miura from 1970.

If rumours play true, this new Lambo will switch to an aluminum space frame instead of the current steel tube frame with carbon fiber extensions.

Body design will take some influence from the Reventon and most body parts will be made of carbon fiber. Roof and doors will probably be made from aluminum.

Engine could be a revised 6.5-liter V12 with direct injection delivering upwards of 700 horsepower to all four wheels.

Following up from yesterday's Murcielago/Jota replacement test mule headline, here are the latest images of the Jota in attack mode on the Nürburgring circuit in Germany.

These shots are showing from a new angle the widened fenders which look even more pronounced compared to yesterday's images. Also, we can see the right side of the vehicle which shows the connection wires for the Kistler RoaDyn wheel force sensors running from the front to rear and up into the data capture computer
sitting in the passenger seat.

Lastly, there is what seems to be a cumbersome GPS receiver sitting on the roof, however, it's more likely an accelerometer (see attached image) thats part of the RoaDyn monitoring system.

Under the body of Murcielago, they are testing the powertrain and mechanicals. The exterior body will be mostly different from the body seen in images.

EDIT :
@ abhinav.gupta88:
This is what in my above reply.
