Default Rover stops Roving - Into Receivership

MG Rover in trouble, goes into receivership

Its been in the pipeline for a while now, but Rover's finally sinking after the Chinese decided it wasnt worth the trouble.

Thats the last of the British carmakers, if you dont count specialist manufactureres like TVR. All others are now owned by the Germans (Rolls Royce, Landrover, Cooper), the Americans (Aston Martin, Vauxhall), Malaysians (Lotus) and other assorted nationalities.

Ratan Tata had his eye on Rover for a brief while - I wonder what happened of it...
