Potentially new Rear End - On the Honda Accord

So most of us have a problem with the Honda Accords rear design? Well, here is a pic of a potentially new rear end design that Honda may be contemplating. All logos were blanked out with plastic.

Quote:
This is my first post so bear with me, lol. Today I was at woodfield mall, and my friend & I walked past a car with tape covering part of the tail lights and anything that would show a car manufacturer symbol. My friend (who knows absolutely nothing about cars) asked me where the "h" symbol was, and I told her I thought it was an acura at first. Once i saw the side profile it kinda looked excactly like the accord but with just a different backend. I could tell you this, I'm 99% sure that the tail lights were LEDs. I wanna say that it is an accord. But then again honda somewhat updated the accord's tail lights for 2005 so I don't know why they would update it again. Maybe it's not even a honda at all, who knows? I only took two pictures with my camera phone, and I regret not taking more . The first one is really blurry, and the second pic is of the back.

And here is Hondas 2005 retouch on the current rear end design

Or could it be the new gen Accord? Hondas US Accords typically have 4 year design lives, and the currently sold Indian Accord is in its 3rd year.

Looks fantastic nevertheless...

Looks good. This bumper looks sooo much like the one on the current Honda City!

I agree with Stratos. It looks so mucxh like the rear of the NHC. Nice one nevertheless but doesnt the rear appear somewhat heavy?

Yup i agree with dippy and stratos.

The way the boot extends into the bumper makes it look rear heavy. But IMHO looks better than the present accord. Not that i dont like the present one... this is just better.

I think that photo doesn't show the rear in the best way. Will save my opinion till I see some better shots. However, it does look promising!

Nice find GTO.

Having come up with a "new edge" design on the front of the Honda Accord, I am amazed at the bland version of the rear end. This new design though a lot better than the "old" one, leaves a lot to be desired when looked at the front.

Wonder how the front will look on this!

And if I'm not mistaken the Honda Accord could improve in ride quality right?

looks too bulky and the wrap-around tail lights are very similar to the Bangled 7.

This is the new "HYBRID" Accord. Honda claims that this Hybrid Accord is more fuel efficient and stuff. Got some 255 bhp under the hood and some other features like Variable Cylinder Mangement(VCM) which shuts down 3 cylinder while cruising and braking.Comes with a tiny rear spoiler and 16" alloys.
Two Variants are available in US
1. Hybrid Accord
2. Hybrid Accord with Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System
