Porsche has released photos of the new 2010 911 GT3 ahead of its official debut at the
Geneva Motor Show in March and the revised model features a host of upgrades that make it even more potent than its predecessor. The naturally aspirated flat-six has been enlarged to 4.0-liters, and now produces 435 horsepower good for a 0-100 km/h sprint in 4.1 seconds and a top speed of 193 mph. Handling is improved as well, with a modified stability management system that allows for graduated settings for both stability and traction controls, along with enlarged carbon ceramic brakes that improve stopping distances. On the outside, the GT3 gets several subtle revisions including a redesigned rear spoiler, more angular LED taillights, new bi-xenon headlights, modified air intakes on the front bumper, and a new front spoiler that can be adjusted from the cockpit.
Sigh...........I so want one!
Didn't the 911 have a 3.6L engine earlier?
435bhp sounds like a lot of fun! clap:
Sexy rear. What the differene between this and RS? Just weight loss?
The upgrades sound very very exciting! clap:
The car is a 3.8L, not 4 :)
The RS has a few significant changes like wider rear track and more CF everywhere. It does also drop about 50lb of weight. I'm not sure if it gains any power thought I believe the flywheel is lighter.
Of course on top of all that you will have a helluva precious car that will draw attention forever into the future!

Porsche has found a credible fix to the potentially deadly problem and is also making amends with hundreds of people who have bought GT3s and weren’t able to drive them.

On April 22nd, production of modified 911 GT3 engines will begin. The existing 785 owners will get a full engine swap to a block that’s stronger. And since Porsche has issued a stop-sale on the GT3, no other cars have been built with this issue. | And as compensation the customers will receive another full year of free warranty |
