Let's see how Honda treats the ME compared to the rip-off attitude towards Indians.

you put words to my thought mate. I have always felt that honda products offered in India are no where on par with their international offerings.

let me clear some misconceptions about treating indian market lesser compared to other markets!

honda civic came with paddle shift gears in india and it came later in Dubai. in dubai it came with 2009 facelift model.

honda accord in dubai is again without the paddle shift gears offered in india!

CRV in india comes with 2.4 and 2.0 ltr engines....here only 2.4!

its the taxes from the indian govt which make the car prices go up! to save on the rise in price.....OEMs cut on goodies like Airbags, ABS, Alloywheels etc!

blame the govt for taxes.....not the OEMs!

Dubai & S'pore are low volument mkts for Civic. We should be comparing it with Thailand which is similar to Indian market in many aspects (or may be Malaysia).

I am very much surprised that you call ABS, Airbags as goodies. IMO these should be made compulsory. Why is life on an Indian customer any less important then European or American customer ?

well we get these goodies as add on features in high end models of various cars. the addition of these goodies makes the price of the car go up, thus resulting in less sales!

anyway its 7pm local dubai time launch for the Honda City, so expect the review on Tbhp by 9-10pm dubai time.

Do post the pics of interiors, so that we can compare with Indian version.

Here as we all know, the interiors are the biggest let down.
