Daimler and BMW Get Cozy - BusinessWeek

Well,, the near impossible seems to be happening. Daimler and BMW are coming closer together in a variety of ways - trying to do joint procurement, sharing engines, platforms (imagine a 3 series based C class!) and a lot more. These companies practically control the luxury market and their joining together must be surely giving nightmares to every other luxury maker!

If this happens, for sure many car makers are going to have a tough time. But for the consumers,as Sahil said, All cars will feel equal.

I son't think the cars will be feeling similar, they are joing hands to cut down the cost on various items which are similar. But I strongly believe that both the car makers will follow their DNA. And I wish the same!
