the first car was a fail attempt to look like a car close to enzo.
And what's this next pic? BYD? Cayenne lookalike? Or photoshop disaster?

More from the recently concluded Shanghai Auto Expo

The Chinese Replicas Thread-geely_f1_live_jalopniktopshot.jpg
Well, finally they jumped into the F1 league!!

The Chinese Replicas Thread-jac_a0.jpg
The JAC A0 is built borrowing from the Toyota Aygo. The A0 will start at about $8,000 and will come with a 1.3-liter four and possibly a larger 1.8-liter engine down the line.

The Chinese Replicas Thread-lifan_motors_320_mini_clone_jalopniktopshot.jpg
And the Mini Cooper clone!! The Lifan 320 was officially launched for public consumption at a price point of 48,800 yuan ($7,142 USD). The five-door 320 rides on a 2,340mm wheelbase and is powered by a Lifan-developed 1.3-liter engine This little engine can muster up 88 horsepower, enough to take the almost-MINI and up to 96 MPH if you so dare.

The Chinese Replicas Thread-chang_an_cd101.jpg
This is a legitimate car without any influence from any other car. The Changan CD 101.

The Chinese Replicas Thread-gac_vip_lounge.jpg
The GAC VIP Lounge was formed with the collaboration of Honda and Guangzhou Auto. Although it looks like an Accord from certain angles, it's another legitimate car.

It definitely is a lookalike and its gonna hit the roads soon!! Actually why should you be surprised?? It isn't anything new. Those guys just wait for a major car to release somewhere so that they have something to do- to make a look-a-like!!

IMHO, they just copy everything so car companies have just stopped bothering to sue them. Imitation is the best form of flattery !

Chinese made London Cab

The Chinese Replicas Thread-1.jpg
The Chinese made TX4 taxi cab was launched recently, aiming itself squarely at the ‘business car‘ sector, and perhaps even at the taxi market.
The TX4 will be sold to cabbies, and regular folks alike via Geely dealerships across China starting from today. The TX4, now being sold under the ‘Englon’ brand, will be sold for 200,800rmb and 220,800rmb depending on specification.
The models being offered are a 2.4 gasoline manual model (200,800rmb), a 2.5l diesel manual model (210,800rmb), and the top of the line 2.5 diesel automatic model (220,800rmb).
We’re unsure if cabbies will leave their Volkswagen Santana’s in droves to pick up the TX4, the high pricing is nearly two and a half times what a Santana costs, but on other hand you have a novelty vehicle. Taxi drivers are leaning towards the larger Passat in some cities, but even the 2.0l Passat is cheaper than the TX4.
The TX4 is being built in Shanghai via a JV between London LTI, and Geely.

Chinese Wins In Court Against Daimler Benz

The Chinese Replicas Thread-noble1.jpg
They are at it again, and this time, they won a court case! Chinese based auto maker Shuanghuan, was taken to court by Daimler when the auto maker came to the Bolognia Motor Show with a Smart fortwo clone, called the Noble, back in 2007.
The Greek court ruled in favor of the Chinese auto maker, stating that “an informed buyer would not confuse the Noble with the Smart Fortwo.” Although Daimler was breathing hard on the auto maker, it did not stop them from starting to sell the car in Europe last year.
Here is another interesting fact, Shuanghuan actually carried a marketing campaign for the Noble, giving it a slogan which read “Smarter than the rest”.

Nissan 300 ZX trying to be a Murcielago

The Beijing Automobile Accessories and Decorations Show, aka Beijing Tuning Show, was in town again. One of many a great vehicles was this monsteresque Nissan 300ZX converted to a Lamborghini Murcielago. Done by Chinese tuner MPS, that's Max Power Sports.
