Interior is a marriage of Chevrolet Cruze and Infiniti M.

See Infiniti M interior below:

Speaking of the centre console,a lot of ideas seem to have been borrowed from the 370Z interior.Just like Hyundai always.A bit from here and there!

Hyundai has just unveiled its all new Sonata mid-sized sedan in its home market of South Korea, and after months of spy shots, it's new look is a surprise to no one.
The home market version gets a standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 165 horsepower that's rated at 30.1 mpg (US), an 11 percent improvement from the outgoing model.

Cant digest that grill .

More pics of the new Sonata

love the interiors. the center console and speedo looks cool.

exterior looks like mix bag. influenced from various manufacturers. not a bad thing. makes the car look big and taut.

would love to see on Indian roads soon:thumbs up

I like this car! It sure has presence. And that's what matters!
Will definitely stand out on Indian roads! 370Z centre console looks cool!
Nice Lexus like interiors!

The font seems to Merc CLS inspired .
The BMW inspired or planely copied finn or hoffmeister kink is their as well!
The aircon vents are wierd.
But it has quite a presence .

If this Sonata comes to India, it'll be a tough rival to the Accord.
@Mods: the thread title needs to be changed since the car has now been officially unveiled.

HID-E-OUS!!!! they have very distastefully copied the Merc CLS design at least for the front. Speaking about street presence, this will have a lot of it, but so do the cars featured in the weird & wacky mod-jobs thread. I don't give a damn to it's street presence on the good-car starved Indian roads as anything that looks different/unconventional/unusual gathers awe-struck glances....don't forget, few people did buy the Zen Classic!!

Please do your research before you say stuff like this! This car went on to design board in 2005 and was conceptualized in 2008 (designed in California, by an ex-Audi top engineer & designer). So people who tell that this is inspired by CLS, CC, Lexus, Infinity blah blah...keep that ridiculous claim to yourself. It's a known truth that every manufacturer takes cues in terms of design from every other manufacturer. Nobody calls is copying. That's just the way auto industry works. Finally, please try telling Mercedes, VW, Lexus and Infinity to sell their mid-size sedan at $20,000. This month Hyundai just became the 4th largest car company in the world. That's bigger than Honda and Ford by the way.

In my opinion this is the best looking mid-size sedan for $20,000, and probably a great car too.

Enough said!!please:

While I like the car at first look I still believe that the 165bhp power plant might be bit puny for a car this size. Even the 2.4l Accord produces about 180 bhp. To complete with the Accord, Hyundai has to give more.

this is what the Sonata will have to compete against
Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara 2.4 AT vs Honda Accord 2008 2.4 AT vs Skoda Superb 2009 1.8 TSI vs Mitsubishi Outlander 2.4 MIVEC | Car Comparisons - CarWale.com

However untill we know more about the engine/handling characteristics we cant really pass judgement.
