Is it just my imagination or are those actually roof rails on the car???? What do they think this is? A Cayenne?

But the interiors look great. Only artistic renditions I know, but if they look anything like that....

Looks quite ugly IMO. Nothing like the cute original, or the model that this one would replace.
Is the second one intended to be an off road version? Whats with the roof rails and the overly accentuated flared wheel arches?

I wish they send all the manufacturing equipment of the current mini to india ad sell it here.
Would love te current mini in India even if it is an "OUTDATED" model.

+1 cooldude better india than china!

the car has an ogre like grumpiness about it. not the least bit appealing. some designs are classic and timeless, they don't need to be reworked a whole lot. if this ever goes into production bmw will be making a huge mistake and dent the minis appeal and aura

IMO i think this is just a ploy to gauge mini aficionados reactions and to strength test the mini's appeal.

The design of the car does loose the Mini appeal. Looks more like an SUV. Hope this is just a mock-up ploy.

I dont think those are roof rails, they look like the panel of the folding sunroof.

it's probably the Crossman (due in 2010), a kind of shrunken Mini SUV - a variant for mainly the US market with an intent to expand the brand without diluting it. There is also a clubman version (stretched version)

I wonder what the demand for this version would be, given that the Clubman's a rare sight in most parts.

I just think someone in Mini America's marketing team has got it all wrong. This is definitely going to dilute the charm of the mini.
