Skoda

I was in Geneva, Paris and London for about 2 weeks for a vacation.
Surprisingly, I have not seen not even one Skoda in the above cities. Is Skoda not a popular car in Europe????? In fact, have seen couple of Santros and Wagon R.

i was teher two weeks ago and europe was filled with skodas mostly octavias, fabias and their estate counterparts. more so in paris, austria london and even in rome. dunno about the brits using them for police cars as they use vauxhalls

anyways guys skoda is coming up wit a revamped version of the octavia ........... mostly by this year end

When I was in Europe, I noticed that Europeans were very nationalistic when in comes to car choices. French buy Renault, Peugeots and Citroens and Italians love their Fiats and mostly German cars in Germany. Only in the car-neutral countries in Northern Europe you will find Japanese cars.

Depends on area and application- they use Fords, Range Rovers, Pajero's , Merc ML's, BMW 5 series, Skoda Octy RS's, Volvo V70's

I got the impression that Skoda is not really looked upon as a brand that europeans lust for .. it's supposedly a so-so brand out there ..

Out here, they have played their cards smartly and positioned themselves as a premium brand ..

skodas got a good reputation in europe.the new 05 octavia is really cool,it will be a seller in india for sure.....

If you read the Autocar India of this month..the Ferrari Enzo drive, the driver was stopped by BMW-5 series cars...but as far as I have heard Skoda's are popular with the police.

One of the PDs in England uses the 530d (as in diesel). THe only ones in the world to use a diesel. They claim it has more than enough power and great FE.
