I don't like the new Mustang either...except for the styling. It looks good.

I see the Charger & Mustang but no Stingray (or is it counted as a 'vette?).

Ok. now which American car would you use for a slalom on a wet road? No Beemers, Saabs, etc... Only pure American marques.

amriki classics

not a huge fan of modern american cars but i love the older american cars from the pre/post WWII era and certain later models manufactured till the early-mid 1970's - including Chrysler, Dodge (especially the Kingsway and ofcourse the Charger need not be mentioned - thats a given), Dusenberg, Oldsmobile (especially the Toronado), Packard, Pontiac (the GTO, what else!), Plymouth, Studebaker & Terraplane and a host of others.
somehow the Ford Mustangs & Thunderbirds never appealed to me. the Chevrolet Corvette never made a huge impression either, though i must admit that the Stingray was a looker!! the newer versions of the Dodge Charger (the modern one is a family sedan - woe!), the Ford Mustang and the Chevrolet Corvette have reduced my interest in them even further.

among the "modern" american cars, the Dodge Viper (also known as the SRT-10 nowadays) is one that hugely appeals to me.

Carroll Shelby's (someone whom i have great respect for) creations including the Shelby (AC) Cobra and the Shelby Series 1. the Saleen S7 is one i would love to own (someday, definitely). the Panoz series is just about OK.

oh! yes, and how could i forget the old Bantam/Willys Jeep and the more recent Jeep Wrangler models.
