i am dedicating my 400th post to the KING OF DETROIT MUSCLE.
awesome pictures, did you had the chance of getting it or maybe taking a drive??
one thing i can't understand is that, these were made as a tribute to the Super Snake or the Shelby GT500??

I first saw this car in Houston during one of my visits in 1997, Then I saw her GONE IN 60 SECONDS & she left me salivating. I have just one dream before I die, to sit behind the wheel of this beast & hear her engines purrrr.

Wonderful pictures from the show. Thanks for the treat. I was always wondering what those 2 things are in the bonnet (circled in red)? I used to drive a 2007 Ford Mustang AT & was blown away by its luxury, gives me an illusion as though I drive a huge monster that occupies more than a lane. The acceleration was really awesome & it even saved me from a near to death experience caused by an 18 wheeler.

Those hood pins were used a long time ago - probably in high speed drag racing - to prevent the hood from flying up and blinding the driver. You may ask, isn't that the purpose of the stock hood latch? I am guessing the musclecar racers of yesteryears had good reason not to trust the stock latch.

Nowadays, those hood pins are used only for appearance.
