I have tried attaching one of the movie still, it was indeed a nice cameo by the car
Oops, my bad Alto. Thanks for pointing it out. Now I remember that car from Casino Royale. Incidentally the movie was also a launch pad for the 2008 AM DBS.

Err, technically its not a "Ford" AC Cobra. AC was an independent British Marque, and (to the best of my knowledge) was never taken over by Ford. However, the car did use a highly modified Ford V8.

Notice the famed cobra badge on the bonnet?

Dude, when I try to PM you, I get this msg:

"AyAn! has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be allowed to receive private messages. Therefore you may not send your message to him/her."

Maybe you should try PMing me. Would love to meet up with a fellow Kolkata Tbhpian.

Thanks ayan, btw there is another question id like to ask, what is the car in post '53' just above the grey ferrari. The number plate on the car is GVC 322N.

And I just thought i'd post some more pics of the cars I couldn't capture from the Supercars.net website. (Hope the mods don't mind)

The red car behind the GVC 322N car is the BMW M1

There was also another very old Maserati, Im guessing this is a rare beauty as well. The name of this car isn't given on the website.

Read in a UK publication, the same car shown here is on sale for GBP 30000 only! In fact, the advertiser proudly proclaims its status as "exhibited at this year's Salon Prive. Anyone interested?

Sorry for replying late to your queries, funkydevil:

This is the 1955 Maserati 300S, one of 28 racing cars made (and probably less than 10 surviving) made for World Sportscar Racing.

Pics: Salon Privé, the Luxury Supecar Event-ferrari-p3.jpg

The surprises never cease to exist. The car in the background is the Ferrari 412P, consumer version of the famed P3. You have no idea how much one would be worth these days.

Steve Tillack, a famous vintage car dealer, quotes this as his dream Ferrari.

The car in the foreground is a 62 250 GTE, or a 64 250 Berlinetta Lusso. Can't make out clearly.

If one had to display these cars in India, they'd probably have to be guarded by iron bars and NSG commandos!

lovely pics

yes the ferrari 250 GTE and the Berlinetta Lusso look deceptively similar to each other. i think the designs of both are by Bertone.
