Pics: Salon Privé, the Luxury Supecar Event

Hello Everyone,

Ever since moving into London for my studies, I have gotten to see a lot of cars on the roads. Bentleys are seen here very often, so are Jaguars, Ferrari's, RR's etc. However, I happened to stumble upon an event at work the other day.

This event is known as the Salon Privé. It is a Supercar event that takes place every year at a very prestigious club known as the Hurlingham Club. The club situated in London is one of the most oldest and most prestigious of its kind, working there gave me a chance to see cars I could've only dreamed of.

The entire week was busy, hence I could take pictures only on the last day. Please Forgive me for some of the fuzzy pictures, as I had taken them in a hurry. This forum has thought me a lot of things and I wanted to share this with all the members here...........enjoy !!!!!!!!!!!!

Firstly, the Aston Martin One 77. Only 77 to be made in the whole world, nearly 50 have been sold worldwide.

At the event, Aston Martin were able to sell about 8 cars for 1.2 million pounds each.

Then there was the all new 'Jaeaggggg' ...........The new Jaguar XJ 2010. About 40 of these were sold at the event. I did ask a Jag executive standing there about how long they take to produce the thing. He told me production of the car hasn't started yet. They are taking only orders at the moment and production would begin by the end of the year. (The guy was kind enough to switch on the lights for me.........)

The Interior, Lights illuminate the A/C's as well, but you cant see it that well due to the daylight.

Since there are a lot of cars, I will keep posting info and pics about the different cars over a period of time.............Just to give you guys a preview of whats to come, there were, 2 SLR's (one normal chrome painted and 722s convertible), an ENZO, a CCX, maseraties, and a lot of classics as well, Countach, Muira, Mclarean etc............

Some more pictures..............

A limited-edition 720 Mirage Ford GT

And a V12 powered 'Vulca S' by Faralli & Mazzanti, on speaking to a representative, I came to know that this car retails at 280,000 Euros for a 6.0L version more than 340,000 Euros for its top end version . What's more amazing is that only 10 of these will be made in the world.

The BT92 can go from 0-60 in 4.2 seconds. Tough I had read on a website that BMW were trying to improve the timing to 3.9 secs with the development of their latest dual-clutch GK gearbox. The standard M3 does 0-60 in 4.5 secs. I was told tough that the limiter had been removed and that the engine can rev upto 8,550 rpm.

Hey 1400rpm, you could say that, members of the Club were invited as well. The event lasted for 4 days. Since the whole week was quite busy, I managed to get the pics on the last day.

Some more pictures,

Maserati Quattroporte Sport GTS and Granturismo S

Unfortunately I was able to click only one picture of the Miura , as it was quite busy at the time and there were a lot of people. A few guys had started up the Miura and taken it for a round............ the sound was amazing !!!!!!!!!!! (The Miura had an SV badge at the back)

Pics: Salon Privé, the Luxury Supecar Event-24072009183.jpg

Alongside the Miura, was a very old Jaguar. Dunno the model name tough.

Pics: Salon Privé, the Luxury Supecar Event-24072009184.jpg

Other single pics I had clicked were of the Tesla Roadster, a Morgan and a Lotus Evora

There were 2 other cars present that looked amazing, but I didnt know what model or make they were. Perhaps some Bhpians could shed some light.........

Superb pics funkydevil. The Jag has always impressed me, the Aston looks a bit grumpy to me from the front; the rear however is seriously seductive!!

I wonder how nobody has commented on the Bimmer's drop-dead wheel thingies!!
I loved that machine and loved it even more after reading the engine and performance specs.

The Maseratis as always, look fabulous and so does the vintage Jaguar.

One question though : Is that Morgan an Aeromax or an Aero8 ??

These cars were all owned by different people and were not for sale.
