"My Ferrari is too slow"

A businessman is planning to sue Ferrari as his Challenge Stradale tops out at "only" 282 km/h. Ferrari marketing material indicates a top speed of 299 km/h.

Apparently independent expert findings have confirmed that his Ferrari is capable of only a 282.

Probably he's among the very few Ferrari customers to actually take their cars to the limit. LOL

Most Ferrari owners never get the chance to exploit the potential of the car. Can't comlain about something you don't know.

Lying about figures is not uncommon. We've criticised Hyundai heavily for that, but even reputed car makers are guilty. In the above case, Ferrari are taking a beating. I can produce two instances where my favourite manufacturer was guilty of quoting wrong figures.
1. Jaguar claimed the E-Type (3.8L Inline 6, 265bhp) was capable of 150mph. Yes, it was very fast for its time, but, those who have driven it have serious doubts about this claimed top speed. 140mph was more likely.
2. The XJ12, my all time favourite saloon car (5.3L V12, 295bhp) was also said to be capable of 150mph. It wasn't. It peaked at 235km/h (146mph).
