2010 Renault Fluence..will it come to India?!

Note from Mod : Please continue the discussion on the Renault Fluence Review Thread. This discussion is closed

2010 Renault Fluence - Top Speed

Renault announced today the addition of a new sedan to the current line-up: Fluence - a model that will replace the current Megane sedan. The car was first revealed as a concept back in 2004, and will become reality for markets like: Turkey, Russia and Romania.
Depending on the market, the Renault Fluence will be available with a wide range of thrifty engines. Petrol range will include a 1.6-litre 16V engine with 81kW (110hp) and a 2.0-litre petrol making 103kW (140hp), while diesel line-up will include five variants of the 1.5 dCi diesel block: 85hp, 90 hp, 105hp and 110hp. All the engines will be mated to either manual or automatic transmission.
This new, four-door saloon is 4.62 metres long and its size and generous levels of standard equipment place it halfway between the C segment, for compact family cars, and the segment immediately above. Streamlined headlights herald the start of an elegant waist line which sweeps harmoniously along Fluence’s sides to the boot. The surround and chromed grille of the upper air intake embellish the car’s front-end looks with a sporting flourish, while Renault Fluence’s status-enhancing appeal is heightened by its sculptured wheel arches and long bonnet. At the rear, the horizontal, two-part lights allow a generous boot aperture and reinforce the car’s thoroughly modern styling.

Hi Ayan, Photos are quite good. The equipment in the car seems pretty good. But I doubt it will come with such equipment level into India. When will the car come to India?not before 2011 would be my guess. The design looks impressive, pretty clean and bold curves.

Yeah! But you can give the satnav a miss..rest seems OK for India, high profile tyres and stuff.Perfect for the Indian market if priced right! Diesel options too!

A very handsome looking car indeed but somehow the ugly renault badge ends up messing the frontal looks. And is it just me or the lines and curves remind me of the linea

Looks outdated even now! To me it looks like a 1980's Oldsmobile.

Amit, you hit the nail on the head. I was thinking the shape looked a little familiar. It does look a bit like the Alero which I have rented several times.

I think if they can price her right, then this thing should most definitely come to India. It looks like a venerable competitor to the Linea, Verna, City and Fiesta with the displayed kit and the various engines. Would love to see the 2L petrol and 110hp diesel options hit our shores, bound to be a scorcher.

This one reminds me of the Seat Toledo, for some reason.
Looks like a mix of the Elantra & Yaris, here and there.
Ah well..its a Renault!

its the french way of making a bland looking car. overall confused lines with occasional interesting lines thrown in. not the typically quirky designs renault is used to. love-it-hate-it looks. not sure if conservative india will buy that design.

Guys,

I saw a white / cream Renault Fluence being tested in Tambaram, a suburb of Chennai yesterday. No disguises other than masking tape over the front and rear Renault badges.

The car is good-looking though in an unconventional way.
