Next-gen 2010 Toyota 4Runner-True blue SUV!!

2010 Toyota 4runner — Autoblog
Those anxiously awaiting the scheduled September 24 reveal of the 2010 Toyota 4Runner are going to want to take a good look at the gallery below, which contains a few more high-resolution images of the Japanese automaker's body-on-frame SUV.

As we noted the last time we saw spy shots, the next 4Runner will push forward with a boxy, square-jawed look that reinforces this SUV as the rugged, off-road capable midsizer in Toyota's lineup, leaving the unibody Highlander and Venza to take on the rest of the burgeoning CUV crowd.

When the 2010 4Runner hits the market, it will be equipped with the buyers choice of either a 161-horsepower four-cylinder or a 268-horsepower six. The current V8 engine option will no longer be available, but Toyota promises its 'ute will be more luxurious and capable than ever before.

The front grill and the mean look is a little similar to the current EVO.

I have always been a big fan of the current 4runner for its simple neat looks.

Apart from the Sequoia this is one hefty but evenly balanced (looks & power) SUV. Its got a fair amount of room inside too!

Personally, I think they've spoiled a good thing. Have a look at the outgoing model's exterior.

Cheers,

This is Toyota trying extra hard to distinguish the 4runner from the Highlander which ended up looking too similar after the redesign.

Looks like they have gone in for the brutish look.

this is the kind of trash that forms when a japanese manufacturer tries to copy american styling. what a disaster!!! why don't they just improve the tundra a bit and make an SUV based on it??

Toyota has already made one Full sized SUV on the tundra called the Sequoia- its the name of an old tree.

the previous gen 4runner also had a design flaw.look at the angled line from the headlight merge with that of the grille forming a V. not good.

I really like that design - much more truck-like than other SUVs. I think trucks should be large, squared off designs that look tough, not rounded and flowing. Very well done.

Oh man 4Runner has great capability, I think these stunts are part of photo shoot of the car.
I could clearly notice big scratches on the front bumper and mud flap got broken at the back.
