GM-Daewoo unveiled the New Matiz at the paris Motor Show. The production concept features round LED front and rear lights, rear spoiler, 16 inch Alloys! Twin centrally positioned exhaust pipes! side indicators below front head lights and also in the rear view mirrors! 1.0L 4 cylinder engine has 64bhp. The car will be launched in Europe in spring 2005 badged as a Chevrolet. What about India GM?

wht do i say i like it. if they sell that very same looking car here under 4.5 laks. they have a hit. trim it down and stuff i dont see the point. looking good i say. always room for more cars. i jus hope they have more colours as well. im so bored in bombay seeing the same cars same colours.

Looks like the doors are the same but a great looking car. BTW the original Matiz was an italian design offered to Fiat who refused it so Daewoo bought the rights !

Now thats how a good refreshing is done on a car. Maruti..take note!

I love those 996 lookalike headlights! I love that exhaust. I love the interiors. The doors look very similar to the existing Matiz.

If GM launches this car, the Santro had better watch out!

matiz was the cutest car around till she was here and now they've refreshed her making it ever more appealing that greatttttttt.waiting for the indian launch

These are the goodies that wont make it to India...if history is anything to go by in the B segment.

It looks exactly like the current Matiz from the A to the C pillar...indicating that its a reworked design and not a completely new one. Chevy is commited to India, after going on a complete rebranding exercise (Opel to Chevy), new dealerships and a slew of products (Tavera, Optra), Forrester).

Theres no doubt...they will get this car here. And sell it next door in China too.

yeah i too have heard reports where it was mentioned that the Matiz will be relaunched wid a Chevy Badging & the car will be called Spark & its expected to hit indian road by early 2005

General Motors India could launch the Daewoo Matiz in India as Chevrolet Spark by early next year, senior GM functionaries told Business Standard.

Looks good IMO. Hope they bring it here too. I feel that there is a good market for it even today!

No need for re-engineering for LHD or RHD *-cheaper amortistion of costs and more profits for them but the same price for us all !

Anybody noticed the latest cars are getting to look like matiz? Getz and wagon r are becoming more matiz-y! - the rear lamps, beany shape...
