2013 Volkswagen Golf Mk7 prices revealed.

Initially, three and five-door S, SE and GT spec models will go on sale, with GTI and Bluemotion models joining the line-up later in 2013.

Four petrol and two diesel engines will be available from launch, and all come with a fuel saving stop-start system as standard.

A 1.2-litre TSI petrol – in 84bhp and 104bhp states of tune – kicks-off the range, costing up to £18,811 in DSG equipped, five-door form.

The larger 1.4-litre TSI petrol starts at £17,501 and can be had with 120bhp or 138bhp. The more powerful unit features Active Cylinder Technology (ACT), a system that cuts two of the four cylinders when not under heavy load to improve fuel economy. Volkswagen claims it will return 60.1mpg on the combined cycle.

Base diesel units cost from £18,955 for the 104bhp 1.6-litre TDI, while the range topping 148bhp 2.0-litre TDI can be had from £21,305 in SE and GT trims only.

Volkswagen dealers are taking orders from the 18 October, with deliveries expected to begin in January next year.

Volkswagen to update its engine range, will replace the 1.4 TSI units and the 1.6 TDI power plants -2017

Golf MK7 - Face lift will get the new 1.5 TSI engine, eventually, they will make their way under the hood of cars like the Polo and Tiguan, but also in the ranges of Audi, Seat, and Skoda cars.

The German manufacturer intends to change the current 1.4 TSI units with a 1.5-liter TSI engine, as well as downsize the current 1.6 TDI plants to a smaller 1.5-liter TDI unit.

the new engine family will provide a range of power outputs and will be joined by a 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder unit. The smaller engine will share some components with its larger brother, and both engine types will be made on the same production line.

The first Volkswagen to get the new 1.5-liter engine will be the facelift of the Golf 7, but the new engines won’t arrive along with the design changes.

Golf MK7 Facelift to be unveiled today.



Here are speculated image leaked prior to its launch.

One of the variants pictured, finished in a bright shade of yellow, appears to be a new model to slot between the standard Golf and the Golf GTI. At the front, it adopts an aggressive fascia with tweaked headlights, new air intake surrounds and an angular front grille. The rear end is then made unique thanks to the large chrome tailpipes and black diffuser.

Also found within the leaked photos are those of the facelifted Golf GTI. On first impressions, it looks almost identical to the current car but the shape of the LED daytime running lights incorporated into the headlights are slightly different. There is also new black trim surrounding the fog lights.

The final two variants pictured are the Golf GTE and Golf Variant. As with the refreshed GTI, they look very similar to the current seventh-generation models albeit for a few subtle changes.

VW Golf facelift officially unveiled.

VW revises the Golf 7 as a two- and four-door as well as Golf GTI, Golf GTE and Golf Variant.

Brand new in the list of drives of Golf is the 1.5-liter gasoline engine with cylinder shut-off, and the seven-speed dual clutch gearbox (DSG), which gradually replaces all six-speed DSG. The entry fee will not change: the golf will continue to be available from 17.850 euros. However, about 23,200 euros are on the bill are (for the version with gesture control prices ). VW orders from the end of November, with the dealer the Golf Facelift from February / March 2017.

After half century, Volvo overtaken by Volkswagen Golf in Sweden!

The Golf represented 5.9 per cent of the new cars market in 2016 ahead of Volvo's three most popular models -- the V70, S90 and V90 -- with 5.7 per cent shares of the market together.
It's been 54 years since another brand than Volvo topped this statistic,

The last time this happened was in 1962 and Volkswagen was at the top even then

But the market share for Volvo remained the highest in the Swedish market with 21.5 per cent. Volkswagen came in second place with 15.7 percent followed by Audi with 7.3 per cent.
