Re: Spied: 2012 VW Golf 7 test mule 2013 Volkswagen Golf Mk7 prices revealed.
Initially, three and five-door S, SE and GT spec models will go on sale, with GTI and Bluemotion models joining the line-up later in 2013.
Four petrol and two diesel engines will be available from launch, and all come with a fuel saving stop-start system as standard.
A 1.2-litre TSI petrol – in 84bhp and 104bhp states of tune – kicks-off the range, costing up to £18,811 in DSG equipped, five-door form.
The larger 1.4-litre TSI petrol starts at £17,501 and can be had with 120bhp or 138bhp. The more powerful unit features Active Cylinder Technology (ACT), a system that cuts two of the four cylinders when not under heavy load to improve fuel economy. Volkswagen claims it will return 60.1mpg on the combined cycle.
Base diesel units cost from £18,955 for the 104bhp 1.6-litre TDI, while the range topping 148bhp 2.0-litre TDI can be had from £21,305 in SE and GT trims only.
Volkswagen dealers are taking orders from the 18 October, with deliveries expected to begin in January next year. http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/20...rices-revealed |
