My reasons for the selection is the element of timelessness that each one of these beauties manages to evoke, in the eyes and mind of yours truly.

So, in no particular order, here goes :

Next are the vintage beauties - the ethereal Marmon 16 and the peerless Peerless V16. No meretriciousness here, simple design, very high technical standards.

The rivetting, attention grabbing, Jano designed Alfa Romeo 8C 2900 for you.

Next is the Lamborghini Espada and the Marzal concept from which the Espada was born. The Espada was a 2+2 GT, sleek and very modern for the late 1960s. It still is.

Thanks to DKG I have had the opportunity to savour the Voisin C15 Sailot of 1934. The design is not by Voisin, so this has no hard edges but is curvaceous instead. Not an extraordinary car technically though, but delightful for the senses.

Next up, a modern car in every which way. In the concepts, in its execution and in its 'not-in-your face- supercarness', a car for the track as well as for the road. Behold the Mclaren MP4-12C.

Timeless.

Next are two amazing Masers. I've always loved Masers because of their rich racing legacy. The following two are indeed special. First the Ghibli. Simple, classic, simply classic.

If you ask me for a Desert Island choice, this would probably be it.

You know, even though I'm a huge McLaren buff, I can't really applaud McLaren for this one. It simply doesn't have enough identity like the SLR and F1 did. And what's with that name??? Great car, but just not quite there to be among the greatest ever.
