this is really quite hilarious. i think the language translators in China rather badly need to brush up their translation skills.
funny - we ourselves as Indians are certainly not Native English speakers but thank god our standards are apparently better than the Chinese else we ll never be able to make ourselves understood anywhere and by anyone outside our own milieu!

I would not undermine the English Knowhow of Chinese people

Chinese Engineers and Businessmen are Hardworking, Smart and have very high ambitions, they are very capable to develop / copy something on their own.

They have the largest domestic market, hence actually they do not need export markets.

ofcourse, they are very proud of Chinese language and culture, eventhough off late youngsters follow western culture more.

Last but not the least, knowing English is not the start and end of the world. it certainly helps knowing english, but one can manage not knowing as well.

There are languages spoken by larger number of people in the world e.g. Manderin, Cantonese, Hindi, Persian/Urdu, French, Spanish, African

we should not redicule some one for not knowing english.

point taken..no offense, but when they use another language as a medium of communication, i think it is only fair that they communicate without killing it!

No Offense taken

Atleast the Chinese are making efforts to learn and communicate in English, i am sure in some time they will master it

the larger question is what about Englishmen or pseudo englishmen (like us Indians) when we will learn Chinese ? else they will know everything we speak or write and we will never learn what they speak / write in chinese.

There is a parallel world of Chinese websites, forums, internet, on-line content which has wealth of knowledge, which we would never know unless we learn their language.
