the front of the M resembles the X5 to a certain extent.I always thought that Mercedes-Benz was the 1 company that never drew "inspiration" from others???!!!!!!!

Looks like the interior in the pic isn't even completed. Look at those toggle switches in the dash.

Really cant say much to the S...cuz *cant make out how it would look in real paint and stuff..but doesnt really look different..I mean its not a radical change..they have mainted the same base design and modified a little more than a facelift...ok...merc needed something radical i think..so i would give it thumbs down...not for its looks..but just cuz it doesnt seem to be much diff ....the interiors are diff, but now they seem to look cluttered..I like plain and simple like the S right now has..I dont know I would prefer the 7 over this anyday..

and for the M...hell no...i hate it now and I will cont to hate it..again if u c..I wouldnt call it a redesign really..basic design remains the same..its a shame..

we need a fresh design like the CLS and the SL and how curr S was diff from the prev gen..anyhow..

thumbs down to both in my humble opinion(IMHO)

I guess I was expecting too much..
Cheers..

Here is another one I found browsing the german car forms..

the fenders seem to have taken some inspiration from the Mazda RX-8 what do you say?

But overall I like it..Even though its 1.5 yrs away from sale, but this seems to be a consistent photo..

Cheers

More than an RX 8 if you look at the rear of that S carefully the boot it somehow looks very similar to the Maybach

Center console of the interiors looks similar to the new 7 series. Back look like a small brother of the Maybach...love the new lights ... all in all a gr8 design much more sporty and maintains that classy factor too.

that was given that the next gen S would look closer to maybach...

may be this was their maybach 53 project turned into S class?? who is to know..like the maybach coupe for the time being turned into a CLS..but yeah it does look good and as far as i think the fenders will change in the production model..cuz they just dont seem to go with the car's image..
