Logan may flip easily

This is the car that Mahindra is going to launch in 2007 in India :p

There is a case for it being renamed to Lao-Flip ;)

already discussed in Steeroids C class thread

What the hell? And I was considering buying it after reading the auto magazines.

hey when i was workin at mahindras at kandivali...i assembled about 4 entire gearboxes for this vehicle..hope i dont have ahand in its flipping.......but besides it has a very decent engine and a better gearbox so his flip hopefully will be rectified cause im waiting for this vehicle

I knew there had to be some problems with the Logan, since its one of the cheapest Sedan available in Europe.... but didn't think Renault would compromise on safety.... shocked to hear it !!!

40 mph...i would rather buy a Reva...LOL

You're running behind the facts, because recent evidence has shown that ADAC deliberately flipped the car by pulling off some dangerous tricks which have nothing to do with the infamous elk-test, which the Logan passed. Witnesses have stated that the car was fitted with worn tyres, one of which was the smaller spare tyre. ADAC have removed both the article and the photos from their website. It seems the Germans wanted payback for the Mercedes A-Class disaster: that car didn't manage to pass the elk-test either, and it still isn't clear whether that car was put it on its roof on purpose.

Many a times, companies will remove the anti roll bar to reduce cost resulting in stuff like this.

It did once Mercedes revamped and added stability control to the suspension and made the same journalists test the car. A great recovery tactic!!!!

nahh man..are the zens, altos and 800 equiped with anti roll bars?

in my reckless drivers phase ..i use to do dead turns at 60k's plus ..those cars would just understeer .skid and slide...

i am sure there is more to the flipping of the that renault issue..

chill guys didn't u read the part which says"WERE ABLE TO FLIP THE CAR"......
also the wrong set of tyres and grippy tarmac.....well the logan flipped imagin the wagon r and teh santro.....i heard that even the previous a class and the santro failed the "ELK TEST".....i guess they just tried and tried till they flipped it....

They were doing the handling tests so they have to test it to the limit, and i don't think other cars won't flip like that at 60kph only, and the collapse of the A pillar is also a serious issue for the safety of the occupents.
