Here's some info on his cars that I dug out a while ago. He has sold a few of his cars to collectors around the world.

The Sultan, as you all may know, was the richest man for quite a while. He had $45bn+ at in the 90s but after the Asian crisis and because of his brother's stupidity, he now has around $7bn. The Sultan's a nice, down-to-earth guy, not that interested in cars. His playboy younger brother Prince Jefri and his eldest son Prince Haakem are the car enthusiasts and their daily average spending every day was around $700,000 in the 90s. The Sultan's younger brother had 3 yachts called Tits, Nipple 1 and Nipple2 (I thought that was really funny). The Sultan got pissed off and kicked his younger brother out of the country and stopped spending on supercars. He then locked the supercars up in huge warehouses, all covered and lying there idle for god knows how long. He sold some of these exotics later to other car collectors around the world such as Marconi who bought the Blue Ferrari FX from him and keeps it in his Ferrari museum.

He has 5000 cars (all logged on to a central computer system) and I am going to list only the ones that I found.

Ok the list:

1. 200-300 Aston Martins (all kinds including the rare AM3s and AM4s). Pic: http://autozine.kyul.net/article/brunei/sultan.htm
http://www.classicdriver.com/uk/maga...0.asp?id=10495

2. Lots of Rolls-Royces. He used to buy 40-50 per year with a specail 'Sultan Spec' engine and each of them cost around 450,000 pounds. He is in the Guiness Book of Records for owning the greatest amount of Rolls-Royces. He bought 12 Phantoms last year. A special Rolls-Royce he has is a 542hp, twin-turbo Rolls Royce. He also has Rolls-Royce stretch limos.

3. Bentley Dominator - a Bentley incorporating Range Rover's 4x4 system called Dominator, Bentley Biturbo and Caterpillar transmission. Pic: http://autozine.kyul.net/article/brunei/sultan.htm

4. Bentley Java released in 1994. Modified and sold to the S.O.B. Pic: http://autozine.kyul.net/article/brunei/sultan.htm
http://www.rrab.com/java.htm

5. Bentley Java (Estate, Silver), Bentley Grand Prix, Bentley Pegasus (Estate),

6. 6 Dauer Porsche 962 LMs. 12 were made in total. It has the fastest acceleration, 0-60 in 2.6s!!!! and it costs a lot!!! Pic: http://autozine.kyul.net/article/brunei/sultan.htm

7. 6 1950 Mercedes 300SL based on today's 500SL but installed with AMG-enhanced 6.0 V8. Pic: http://autozine.kyul.net/article/brunei/sultan.htm

8. Mercedes-Benz Pullman (Replica). Pic: http://www.autogallery.org.ru/k/m/mbo2423.jpg

9. 3 Cizeta V16Ts. The fastest? car in the late 80s/early 90s. 0-60 in 4.4s. I think just a few of them exist. Pic: http://www.cizetausa.com/links/CizetaSpecifications.asp

10. 2 Jaguar XJR-15s. Remember NFS Hot Pursuit?Smile Pic: http://www.rapidcars.com/xjr15.html
http://autozine.kyul.net/article/brunei/sultan.htm

11. A lot of Ferraris including the 1st 355 Spider.
3 Ferrari F40s (Red, White, Black). He also has at leat one rare F40 LM.
5 Ferrari F50s (Red, Silver, Black, Yellow, White). All of the F50s are customized and they cost 1.3million pounds each. I think all of them he owns are special right-hand drive ones.
3 Ferrari 456GT Venices (Estate). There are a couple of others owned by other collectors.
3 Ferrari 456GTs (Saloon/Sedan)
3 Ferrari 456GTs (Convertibles)
2 Ferrari Mythos" (Red, Blue)
6 Ferrari FX
1 Ferrari 550 Spider with automatic gearbox
Sergio Pininfarina, the world-famous auto designer, was hired to design most of these cars. Pininfarina also designed the Ferrari Bolide (modified F50), which was turned down by the S.O.B. He keeps it in his garage and never drives it.

13. The world's only right hand drive CLK GTR (also in NFS HP)

14. 5 Bugatti 110SS Special Editions in different colors. Here's a pic of his silver one:

15. And last but not least - 8 McLaren F1's in a lot of colors including 2 LM version. 5 LMs were made and the S.O.B. wanted them all but Gordon Murray didn't let that happen. 1 of the LM's was sold to a collector in Japan. He also has a replica of the 95 Le Mans winning F1 GTR.

16. He also has all the F1 championship winning cars since 1980.

This is where his huge garages are: http://www.classicdriver.com/upload/.../car_pop12.jpg

Please leave your thoughts and comments and any other information that you know about this guy's collection and let me know if I had made any mistakes in making the list.

the Sultan bought 12 Rolls Royce Phantoms last year. His brother has been recently been allowed back into Brunei by the Sultan. Here's the link with the info.

Lets show the Sultan how grateful we (read me) are, and maybe he'll let us (read me) take spin in one... what say??

Used to live in Brunei as a child, my dad was a mechanic in the limos and luxury cars dept. The garages are an amazing sight with any car you could possibly imagine. As for Prince Baha and his yellow cars i dont know what the deal with that is but he seemed a few sandwiches short of a picnic on the few occasions that i spoke with him.
my best memory has to be getting taken out for a ride in a maclaren F1 by a guy that worked on the maclaren formula 1 pit crew, 180mph on a public motorway.

I did have a disc with loads of info on the cars such as service dates and things but have since lost it so cant post any of that info. dont have any photos to show either as taking photos of the cars back then was a sackable offense, or so i was told by my dad.

Oh and as for the owners of the cars they dont actually belong to the Sultan they ate proud belongings of his brother prince jefry and nephew prince akheem. shortly after we left the country alot of the other mechanics were layed off after the sultan got tired off jefry stealing his money. jefry and akheem were both placed under house arrest.

im not sure if it was 8 mclarens but i think there were at least six, i have personaly seen 2 blacks a blue and a silver one, i think bahar also had a yellow one. not sure on the exact dates that i lived there i think it was between 98 and 2000, jerudong park playground was still completely free when i left.

and no the sultan is definatly not a tyrant ruler he is very generous when you have that much money and such a small country why be greedy with the wealth, he put on 2 michael jackson concerts he also had seal, stevie wonder and whitney houston concerts all were free.

Oh there was also a black bently in the garages and when i say black i meen all black, no silver emblems you lift the hood and all you see is black, im not entirely sure why this car was special but for some reason they tried to keep it a secret (or so i was led to believe) it was called the black on black. can anyone shed any light on this car.

cooking up an old thread

Back in February we reported on the mysterious filthy rich individual who purchased 10 Aston Martin One-77 supercars, limited to just 77 examples, for $1.7 million apiece or $23 million in total including fees. Now educated insiders are speculating that the Sultan of Brunei bought the cars to add to his multi-billion-dollar, 7,000-strong car collection, the world’s most expensive auto hoard. According to Guinness World Records the Sultan’s collection includes over 600 Rolls-Royces, more than 450 Ferraris, 570 Mercedes-Benzes, 380 Bentleys, 170 Porsches, dozens of Koenigseggs, and 20 Lamborghinis to name a few. He owns several rare custom, one-off and concept cars, some worth tens of millions apiece, including a Ferrari Mythos, a Jaguar XJ220 by Pininfarina, a Bentley Java, a Bentley Dominator SUV, bespoke Rolls-Royce and Ferrari station wagons, a Porsche Carma and a Koenigsegg Agera. Known for buying multiple models of supercars in order to have one in every color, he owns several McLaren F1s, six Ferrari FXXs, four Ferrari F40s and three Ferrari F50s. The Sultan, who’s worth an estimated $20 billion, stores the collection in five heavily-guarded airplane hangars and employs a team of mechanics and specialists to keep the cars in perfect working condition.

Re: Pics : The Sultan of Brunei's collection.

The Sultan has 7,000 cars worth $7billion in his garages.

If he drives just one car daily, it will take him nearly 20 years to drive each and every one of them; lucky for him no need to pay road tax.
Sultan of Brunei houses his fleet of 7,000 cars in most unique parking space.
The Sultan parks his collection in five aircraft hangars.
Some of costliest cars are the following.
SSC Ultimate Aero
Leblanc Mirabeau
Koenigsegg CCX
Koenigsegg CCXR
Maybach Landaulet
Lamborghini Reventón
Lamborghini Reventón Roadster
Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster
Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport
Koenigsegg Trevita
