Rat Rod BMW E28

A technique from the 40's and 50's comes back around. You either are going to love it or hate it. I personally like it.

Resurrection: The Complete Story of the Zombie E28

Here’s a bit of history-
Mike bought this E28 in November of 2007- and went quite out of the way to do so. From Nashville, TN, Mike set out to South Carolina to trade his ‘89 325i for the 535i you see before you.
No pictures exist of it as it was when he got it home, but the following morning he had her cleaned up and sitting on some Borbet Type As:
The start of the adventure.

Gettin' lower.

… and that’s where the “normal” mods stopped. Mike soon followed up his drop with a complete re-design of the car.

Between a rusted hood, some WIDE HRE 504s (17×9.5 et-9 and 17×10.5 et+5), green bumpers and a custom made roof-rack, the car took on a totally new attitude. Of course, the same day the car was posted online, Performance BMW magazine hopped on the chance to do a feature.

Ouch! Thats an eye sore!
Think I've seen a mid-90's Merc get the same treatment, not sure if it was an S or E class though.Pathetic looking,IMO.

No engine mods. I think the BBS RS wheels cost more than the car..LOL. This what makes things interesting. It is totally different and he still switched it up. This is what it now looks like. Its done by putting motor oil over the rust which gives it this effect. I would rather have it with the BBS sans the fighter plane paint job but still its different.

Now those are just gorgeous wheels! BBS RS! Retro and brilliant! And suits the E28 and E30 perfectly IMO!

I'm just going to ignore the paint though!
