Next Generation Nissan GT-R? This is a rendering that was released late in December and according to some reliable sources, this is what the next Nissan GT-R would look like! Frankly, I dislike it. A lot.
The looks depends on one's preference. The roof and the glass area, however, strongly resembles the Hyundai Tiburon/Tuscani! And the silhouette from the front reminds you of the Mazda RX8!
That's my opinion and others might beg to differ. However, there is more to the new GT-R than a traditional V6 motor. The new GT-R would be powered by a 3.8 liter V6 that makes 440 horsepower. Now that seems to be 45 ponies lesser than the current one but this is where it gets a bit interesting. An additional 160 horsepower is produced by an electric motor! And this takes the tally up to 600 horses! So this new-Gen GT-R is a Hybrid!
Because of the heavy batteries, the Hybrid GT-R is expected to be heavier than current generation car (1,724 kg / 3,800 lbs). Despite the added weight, it's expected be just as quick as current production GT-R with expected fuel economy in the range of 25-30 mpg, which lets face it, is the whole point of this green Super-Car.
Apart it from being 'green', it would take a lot of green to buy this too! At a 100,000 dollars, it isn't exactly cheap! But it still is cheaper than a Porsche 911 Turbo!
