agree completely - pointless and how!
the same way that in the 90's one used to see several Tata estates modified desperately by some dabbawala to look like Mercedes Station wagons!

Why compare the TATA Estate - Merc transformation with this? This is done in a much much better way, almost there. At least I've to appreciate the mod job done here - it is impressive. I am sure the completed car can easily pass off as an AM to a bystander.

agreed - the execution appears to be good.

however, conceptually it is the same thing - trying to dress a dying sheep in a wicked wolf's clothing! thats why the comparison!

to seem/ appear rather than to be, is apparently this chaps motto!

Clever i agree with you and pity the mentality here, its workmanship and needs to be appreciated. There is a similar thread running in the mods and accessories section where one guy is converting a contessa into a camaro, and these verysame people are all ga ga over there. I call this double standards, Most of us wear replica watches and have other replica stuff, doesent that mean that some one must have made it? and if people have so low thought about replicas why buy stuff.

Guys,

My aim is not to spark a debate here but lets appreciate some brilliant workmanship and dream that someday all that would be possible here as well when we can have our workhorses turn into some real durby winning horse, till then it will be stickers of adobe, microsoft and other companies on the front doors of cars to make them look and go faster

Pramod - I more than agree with you. The workmanship & the efforts that have gone in this transformation have to be appreciated. I am sure quite a few hours must have been spent in planning this in the 1st place.
Regret to say but this seems to be case of 'Grapes are Sour' over here.

The real mocoy is rear wheel drive the front wheel set up of the calibra will lead some keen eyed people to feel something amis instantly and in spark vola its a fake. Well truned out a pitty with that kind of skill I would make a special addition Calibra with the same body but different/uniques face
