Thats simple..they let go a little on quality of materials used and at the same time do parts sharing and the volume is much bigger...
And to answer why people wouldnt buy the vette is because up until the C5s there really was no dealer network and even in C5 time it was very very small, they just didnt care for europe but now from C6 and C6Z06 onwards they are concentrating on europe..
Z06 is in Enzo and Carrera GT league given, but the regular vette is in 911s and 360/gallardo league which is phenominal..
And all of this is because of volume, if you thnk F430 was made in 40k numbers would anyone pay 200k for it? I dont think so..it would be more like 80-90k and then also be overpriced..do you know F430 uses extra exotic materials and still weigh heavier than the Z06? Ever wonder if Ferrari is really screwing you over in some departments? (but that wouldnt matter if I ever have that much money, I would pick the F430 along with the Z06 )
