Was watching AXN The Right Stuff when I seen this car.

MG SV XPower Concept

The new XPower SV is a modern supercar that may offer 965 bhp in tuned form. This two-seater will be the top model in the MG line-up, although little details are offered about it or any upcoming derivatives.

What makes this concept car unique is its carbon-fibre body featuring a flat undertray. Front and rear diffusers are installed in the undertray. These devices were designed by Steve Randle who was responsible for the McLaren F1's areodynamic package. Whether or not such a setup will be used on the production cars is unknown.

A Sean Hyland tuned 5.0-litre, quad-cam, V8 engine powers the SV Concept. With this engine, MG-Rover claims the SV reaches 0-60mph in 4.1 seconds with a top speed somewhere around 200 mph. These figures relate only to this concept car and may be carried over to the production version.

A few technical specifications and performance details -

Displacement 5000 cc
Power 465 bhp
Top Speed 321.9 kph / 200.0 mph
0 - 60 mph 4.1 seconds

Well it seems that the car has NOS, and when you use it you get that above mentioned 965bhp! This car is awesome, however the rear lights don't look so much appealing, but overall it looks great!

Recent news on the XPower SV-R ??? Seems like it disappeared from radar?

Just curious since I'm having the same engine placed into my vehicle.

Yes, Clarkson imitating the Germans "Vell, ve haff tried and ve haff failed. So long zen!"

Always thought to myself "Jeezus, a 500 shot of NO2??!!"

its disappeared coz MG has shut the doors. Tata has lost a lot of money in this business due to MG.
