Spied: New 2nd generation 2011 Bentley continental GT coupe

Pictures courtesy leftlanenews website

Completely new platform from D4 Audi A8, other details unknown but styling evolutionary, more like a face lift even though the car is all new.

I don't like the new headlamps here. I think the current CGT has a better looking front. But yeah, the roof is now with more swoop and is definitely looking better!

Oh No ! I have a feeling they are trying to keep it as close to the Mulsanne design cues, the headlamp tells me that story. But some how, I still love it. Anyday over a Mulsanne. Like the sharpened lines. Gives the car more character IMO. Rest, after seeing one in flesh.

Thanks for sharing mate. Great Find !

Although not a huge fan of any CGT, the older generation in the second pic looks fabulous. Not bad for a 2002 design, eh?

I find the new Bentley looks awesome from the front. Totally gorgeous.
Love the new speed front grill and the lower waistline bumpers.
Love the different shaped headlights also.

The looks good not not better than the current one, I feel this design might grow on you when years pass. The tails gives a fell of American muscle car which those huge shoulders.

There is speculation on other auto blogs that it might just be a Photoshop.

Even if it is I quite like it

That Mulsanne-ed front end might be a little hard to digest, but the rest is just evolutionary. And very subtle. That's because the original design was too good, and couldn't be bettered much!

It's like it's winking or something! The front lights look like they've been squeezed!

I like the swoopier roof-line and the massive wheels though!

I dont know if I hate it or dislike it, but I think i prefer the old CGT front. But thats not to say that the mulsanne is a bad looking front end, infact i think its the best looking in its segment, better than the phantom and ghost.

Lets see how it looks on the road.

My primary interest in this, of course, is what happens to the Flying Spur. Hopefully it'll be as regal as the current one, while moving the game forward by some.

It's good to see that Bentley has retained the basic design and silhouette. The lights up-front might take some getting used to. I wouldn't be surprised if this new Continental GT/Flying Spur sells as well as, if not better, than the outgoing variant.
