I'd buy the 430 with my eyes closed. i like the styling, its got awesome power, and i love the interiors too, especially that wheel. To top it all up, im a die-hard Ferrari fan. I like the gallardo.....after seeing it in person i fell in love with it even more.......but as GTO's nick reads : "Reasons aside...it's just not a Ferrari !" :P

Well,F430 looks just too good.Its a fantastic car.But given this comparison i wud go in for the Lambo anyday.
I've experienced it in person and it surely is a monster.

F430 wud come in a close second.....above the Enzo for me.

Gallardo gets track pack..

Lamborghini has reacted to the threat posed by Ferrari’s new F430 by developing a ‘track pack’ for its Gallardo. Aimed at reducing the car’s tendency to understeer, the pack consists of ultra-sticky Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tyres, a new sports suspension option and a new steering pump oil cooler, recognising the fact that the pump oil can boil during heavy use.

Although the development doesn’t include any performance upgrades, insiders have revealed that the company is also working on upping the V10’s power from its current 492bhp.

Naaah.....not been that lucky as yet to drive it.Just sat in it and revved it real hard(and damn,wot a feeling),and also was in the car for a 10km test drive in which we clocked bout 220kmph.The highway camera's were nearing so had to slow down.
But one of the best Xperiences i've ever had.




And well,i recently got a chance to drive my Dad's friends *1992 Porsche Carrera RS for bout 200kms behind the wheel at an speed of bout 220kmph.Was amazed at the car's superior engine!

Tough one this, I like the F430s rear end, but not the front, while the Lambo would have cut it had it had scissor doors. But the fact that Lambo has been raiding Audi parts bin turns me off. Power output wise they are pretty close.But there havent been any reviews on the F430, so i'm going to hold my vote just yet.

Carrying OFF TOPIC, X-Machine:
since you said you drove a 1992 Carrera RS, im figuring you drove the 964 Carrera 2 RS. 3.6 litre flat-six and 260 bhp, pulls 162 mph. DId you know there was a version of the 964, called the 3.8 RS, only 300 bhp, but it lapped the Ring in 7:40 on slicks, as fast as the CGT was in wet. Sadly only 100 were ever made. Talk about being exclusive.

I think the F430 beats the Lambo in performance
0-100 for F430 is 4.0 sec
0-100 for Gallardo is 4.2 sec. Now thats a huge difference.
This is despite the fact that the gallardo has a few more horses.
and the Gallardo is lighter than the F430 by a few pounds.

Even the F430 wins in top speed.

Okh Ferrari have done some real good bit in catching up on ground lost to its rival Lamborghini.
Performance-well its the F430.Looks-mmmmm tough one.
But why Badges on mirrors(in the F430)????sure no 1 wld mistake it for a 360,well but the rear end looks so muh like the Enzos,a nice F430 badge for the rear end wld be a smart way of helping people identify the car from the rear.
As for now its * Ferrari,but with the upcoming Porsche GT-series 997 generation 911s,theres no easy way out.

Nope, no one would. But its more about the way you do it that matters. It isn't a case of badge overkill if you notice, its a matter of detailing and carrying the essence of Ferrari forward. I like the way it its written, its not a badge, but carved right out in the mirror. Work of art if i daresay.
