Mercedes CL vs Mercedes SL

So..here I hit another poll. We know the CL and the SL for long now. Both of them are powerful, both look good. So which of these would u ever want to have???
This is gonna be similar to a fight between 2 brothers fighting for the will their father has left behind

Here we will only consider the latest generation of both the cars

Mercedes Benz SL for me.
The CL is very beautiful and I love it no end, but, the SL is legendary. If I take a CL ahead of an SL it will be because of its better rear seats. The SL is lower, sleeker and a better handling car.

Well...call me a NUT..but I simply love the CL. One main and understated reason is..that Mercedes-Benz havent yet ruined its design to make it look like a SLR like it did to the SL,SLK...etc. And the CL is powerful too, long...a proper SportsCoupe with loads of space!!!
PS: That...That....That CL for me plz...the ones with 612 horses??? Yeah Yeah the CL65AMG!!!

You've got it somewhat wrong. The SL came first, then the SLR, then the SLK. Basically the SLR was a 'rip-off' of the SL and then the SLK was a rip-off of the SLR. Anyways, I would choose the SL because, well not to state the obvious and would still go for the 55. IMO that much power in that car is more than enough and if I wanted a faster car I would go for a more driver oriented car.

Difficult choice

...but i think i will pick the CL, just loovee that car..powerfull and Classy as hell ! ... Specially in India the SL is seen around but the CL is very rare.

Hey Sahil...there are atlest 2 of them in mumbai... a Silver CL500, black CL55AMG and even a silver last generation CL!!

Of the 2 it would be the SL..for obvious reasons. And anyways a sports car is not meant to have rear seats who cares bout them anyways

CL for me. One of the most elegant Mercedes' ever. And plus those rear seats, so i can GT around Europe with my whole family, children included. Without 'em seats, i'd probably have to do it in a Chrysler Town & Country or something of the sort. Doesn't matter if the SL performs better, 'cause i'll have a Porsche tucked away in some corner of my garage to satisfy whenever i crave for track time.

SL 55 AMG!!! The CL 65 AMG is powerful but equally heavy and has less driver appeal.
