New global models introduced at the New York show included:

• The Infiniti QX56, a full-sized SUV that’s a big hit in the Persian Gulf.
• The Chevrolet Cruz, a Korean-developed compact already for sale in Europe and Asia.
• The Volvo S60, a sleek Swedish sports sedan whose manufacturer has just been sold to a Chinese company.
• The Mazda2 subcompact which is built on the same underpinnings as the Ford Fiesta.
• The Porsche Cayenne and Volkswagen Touareg SUVs, which the automakers partnered to design.
• The Acura TSX station wagon, a car that is sold worldwide as the Honda Accord wagon.
• The Nissan Juke, a quirky compact SUV.

Most of those cars listed above look boring except hot looking Jags, SLS AMG, Cayenne and the red hot Z4.

Correct.
The one of importance (in my opinion) is the Ford Focus electric, I think it is a part of a Ford-Microsoft alliance where they use Microsoft's software (called HOHM) to keep track of the battery status on a Cloud.

The SMART stall has cars looking the size of Nano & are way too beautiful. Why didn't Tata (atleast) copy a few stuff from them?

Here is the CR-Z Hybrid. Looks much better in person than in pics. Loved it. Kind of reminded me of CRX. Hope they bring a more powerful gas version rather than a hybrid.
