Mercedes and BMW museums. Germany

February end, I visited the museums and adjoining top of the class showrooms of two legendary automotive companies, Bayerische Motoren Werke (BMW) and Mercedes-Benz.
What an experience it cannot be explained in words. Posting some random pictures more will follow.
Notice the BMW headquarter building and the new white Mercedes SLS, its promotional video was being shot. And its sound was whoa, I got to learn how to post a video.

Regards

Lucky you! Amazing pictures. These are places that one MUST VISIT before he leaves this world The 300SL looks amazingly gorgeous! I feel even the current SLS can't match it's beauty and proportions.

Thanks ragingbull, the environment was just breath taking. As an automobile lover I walked here and there so fast to absorb as much as possible. Very rightly said about the 300 eternal beauty.
I guess not much people are interested in this anyways some more pics

awesome!! In addition to these two, I've also visited the Porsche Museum. The Porsche Museum when I visited it was a tiny hall. Now though, it has been shifted to a new location with a huge display area!

This is an AWESOME thread. NDMS, you just lived the life we car-mad people always dream about! Waiting for pictures from the BMW museum. I remember when my dad had been to Germany. He'd picked up some scale models for me. Brought back the memories.

Nikhil, Porsche man I am still regretting not visiting there.

Here you go shamik, first of all view of the BMW arena from top of the Olympic tower. At the left BMW Velt (pronounced as walt) showroom then at the right the round structure is the museum and behind that is the BMW headquarters in front of the manufacturing plant.

You brought back the lovely memories in a flash! I wish I could go there again.

Did you drive the F1 simulator?
