Mercedes is going to unveil a four door coupe called the CLS Shooting Break. It looks fantastic.

That looks horrid but that is an artists image - the real thing looks good IMHO

This one hints at the lines of the new CLS. And looks just fantastic. One of the best looking wagons I've seen of late!

I do like the basic shape, in fact it is quite beautiful. I really do not think that that glass roof "works", though, and with the contrasting white, it is quite ugly.

In practical terms, under the tropical sun. the last thing one would want is a glass roof!

Wow! Beautiful, it really outstands the counterparts. Is it a transparent roof or panoramic sunroof for production models.

Mercedes' CLS Shooting Break? Gimme a break!!

It's not at all a looker, forget beautiful.
To me it looks more like a full-blinged hearse, designed for the last ride of the rich n famous!!

A thumbs down for the coupe. The artist's impression is light years ahead as far as beauty goes!!

The actual word is "Shooting Brake" - a term used by the "country gentlemen" in England. The Shooting Brake is actually a Station Wagon/ Estate car.

These were ideal vehicles for grouse shooting expeditions since they could take along their dogs, guns and a party of people in them and bring back the game bag as well.

Shooting brake concepts usually look very ungainly IMO.However mercedes has done a good job with this one.Importantly their main intention was to show the design cues for the next CLS.

The wait for the new Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake is over. The company has unveiled its five door coupe.
Essentially a low-slung station wagon, the Shooting Brake is based on the CLS coupe and gets a wooden load compartment floor and loading rails made with aluminium.
Mercedes have kitted the CLS Shooting Brake with five interior colours and trim designs along with three qualities of leather.
There are four engine variants in 2013 two diesel and two petrol. All the engines will be mated to a 7G-Tronic Plus auto transmission and will also have stop/start function as standard.
It also has a towing kit, though optional, to complement its utility.
The base 204PS CLS 250 CDI BlueEfficiency rear wheel driven variant claims to deliver 18kmpl fuel efficiency.
The CLS 350 CDI and CLS 350 produce 265 and 306PS of power while the CLS 500 produces 408PS.
The CLS Shooting Brake is based on the great tradition of stylish sportiness which has always characterised Mercedes.
