fancy stuff, should sell well in india.
My thoughts exactly. Though after reading some comments I feel that they've thrown a little City into the mix too .

It looks pretty good and big. Are they gonna hide the silencer? The rear glass/c pillar combination is very neat and very original.

Please bring it with a nice price.

Even in the old Elantras and Accent the Silencers are hidden . So there is nothing new about the silencer placement in Avante.

Looks good and is inline with Korean/Japanese design. Toyota's design was never exiting, so no comparing Altis to any other in that segment. I don't see anything wrong if the car looks like some other car in bits and pieces if overall it has its own identity, design wise.

It should not be a blind copy like what Chinese normally do.

Now that, is a hot looking Hyundai. Is the first time I'm saying this for the Korean. Love to see this in our market, will it make it to here in the same form ?

IMO car looks just like a space shuttle, I mean the design flairs are so overdone and not a normal looking saloon rather than a concept car!!

[quote=arvi86;1861831] ... this "Fluidic Sculpture" design theme. First came the Sonata (YF), then the Tucson/ix35 & Accent/Verna and now this Elantra/Avante. .....

dont you think there is a overdose of the same design?

Sid, this car's a WOWZER..

Don't think i need to mention the similarities to a Civic here but it really does!!! I might even go as far as to say it looks even better. A sure favorite once it come down to the subcontinent. A black Avante with good matching alloys is all i need.

Moreover, nothing looks boxy and straight. Simply adore the fluidic design.

What sort of film have they used on these display models?

Thank God! This time Koreans copied the Japanese. I dont mind the vice versa also.
Things go nasty when these guys try to copy the innovaters (Read Europeans).
Headlights reminds me of Beat though.

Looks great. I could never digest the looks of the current Elantra in India. But the one in the US also looks good.

I think this new Elantra resembles the to-be-launched Fiesta a wee bit.

In fact, I think that perhaps it is very original design that stands out, especially in front of that boring corolla.

I dont think this is copied from any angle, but maybe some design cues were indeed taken from some cars but definitely cannot be termed as a copy. To be honest it is quite unique. It has been beautifully designed and executed. Hyundai has come a long way indeed. Not even one car from Hyundai thus far had been able to entice me into buying a Hyundai but I think this definitely will if everything else as good as the interior design.

Not a big fan of Korean cars myself except the Kia's, so imagine the response it will get in India if I am loving it

If you take design cues from different cars what you get is a unique product.

Overall this car looks very nice, hope they bring it to India soon.

I can see definite influences of BMW,Honda,Cruze,Altis,to be launched Focus.Ironically Hyundai is Korean, looks ok, not bad but wouldnt buy it just for looks, its not a looker that anyone will buy just for the way it looks.
