One word to describe the LFA's Exhaust Note, "Orgasmic". sounds like a bloody F1 Car(maybe Better!)

The quarter-mile difference between a $70k GT-R and $400,000 is just 0.1 seconds?
11.8 miles @ 123.7mph by LF-A and 11.9 miles @ ~ 120 mph. I thought LF-A was capable of more.

The GT-R also has great 0-60 mph times. Just 3.5 secs, that's bloody impressive. Removing the spare wheel would have got better times?

The only reason Lexus gets beaten is because of the superior DSG gearbox of the GTR and the all wheel drive setup. Maaan, is there anything that can beat the GTR for its same price ???

IMHO the LFA just doesn't cut the supercar mustard. It's capabilities really don't matter to me. It's got an ugly front, the tail is pretty decent though.
A supercar should be a poster boy, have a symphony, should be mechanical et al. And $400,000 for a Lexus!

One would expect more from a $400K car, and all said and done the 500+bhp engine sure rocks, but for it to beat an under-$100K car by just a fraction of a second.. Now that's not worth 10 years of R&D,IMO.
I do like the LFA (and the GTR for that matter), but the cost of the former really doesn't give it a big lead in most departments.
Nice video,none-the-less!

I love the LF-A! It looks great and it sounds incredible.

I dont understand why people are cribbing about the price!! A supercar is suppoed to be mad, illogical and ridiculously OTT in all respects. The LF-A ticks all these boxes!!

There is a difference between a supercar and a high performance sports car. Many times, a car straddles these two segments (the Pagani Zonda for example).

The LF-A is pure supercar.

It was made to sound like one! All screamin' and high-revvin'!.One a different note, that light-weight V10 packs ten independent throttle bodies for each cylinder! Impressive stuff.

This is all fine. Yes the LFA is a supercar, it looks great to some people, sounds good to all. ANd it is a great achievement considering tits the company's first supercar but again getting beaten by a car which is less than 1/6th the price is really not something.
But again that shows the value and performance of the mighty ZILLA.

The G(odzilla)TR is the supercar for masses with its under $70K price tag. Even I dream of having one.
The LFA on the other hand is the rich boys' toy with its $375K price tag. No doubt it is in the category of Porsche's, Aston Martins, etc & a proper super car. Nevertheless beating the GTR is no mean achievement, especially this is the first time for any manufacturer. Kudos to Lexus engineers.

errr..... The drag race looks like it was fixed lol, the way LFA starts getting ahead of GTR then again slows down.

I think LFA will be great car, two things are missing a badge and shape. I think if Aston can make small toyota under their badge then toyota should give this on to aston put the new one 777 body over it and aston badge. and with toyota engine and electricals(i know its not as reliable as it used to be :P ), the car will be a legend.

Beating the R35 in a strightline is not really a prob.

The LFA is a technological master piece. Producing max power at 8700rpm is no joke and boy'o'boy that exhaust note. Can't wait till Honda launches the HSV. It's gonna be a tight battle between the 3 Japanese beasts.

The LFA engine revs to 9000 rpm from 0 rpm in neutral in just .6 seconds. An analogue tacho was deemed not fast enough for the engine necessitating shift to the digital LCD screen.
Its not only a super car but a Japanese supercar meaning it will in all probability be more reliable than any of its counterparts but I do miss the passion and the verve of a Ferrari or Lamborghini.

When a Japanese manufacturer is asking twice the price of a Ferrari and a 10 year development time, you better take it seriously, especially when its a Toyota.

P.S. The engine was part developed by Yamaha. They worked their magic on the head.
