I Sold Everything To Buy A Lamborghini And Drive Across The Country

Interesting read.

Quote:
Richard Jordan had everything he was told to want: cars, a new house, and a fiancee. Then his fiancee left him. So he sold everything, bought a Lamborghini Gallardo and set out across America. This is his amazing story. This is a love story, but not a conventional one. Sure, there's a woman. There always is. But it's when the woman split that the real romance began. This is the story of Richard Jordan, a man who lost love and then found it again in an exotic Italian sports car and the open American road. Jordan's journey would take him across the country and back again multiple times as he racked up nearly 100,000 miles on a car so expensive, most owners rarely drive at all.

Man, I thought you sold everything and got a Lambo. Wanted to see how you could go through our roads without getting stuck somewhere.

No matter how big an auto enthusiast I am, I'll prefer the woman I love than even a Lambo. Heck, we both can drive around in a sports/supercar then. That will be fine.

Hope this guy gets to meet someone again on his cross-country trip.

Regards.

Me too. Was going to suggest that you could have kept everything and done it in a Maruti 800!

Even if I sold everything I still wouldn't be able to by a Lamborghini.

I wouldn't want to either.

A Maserati, on the other hand....

Sounds like a Team-BHP fairytale! Now what would the resale be on a Lambo that's done 100,000 km + ?

He sold everything to buy a Gallardo, how did he manage to fuel for 91K miles? Does he still make money or trying to spend the house sale money?

I guess it has got more to do with the way they are wired.
More of LIVING IN THE MOMENT, FOLLOWING THE DREAM mode.

Dont think an Indian would ever take such a financial decision to follow such a dream.

You have to be incredibaly insane or incredibaly gutsy to do something like this. Most of us would like to do this but none of us can and this makes this guy very very special.

If its a dream we are talking about, I'll like to have similar one and fulfill one but I won't want my girl to dump me. That would be ultimate for me. Both the girl and that wonderful trip in a great car. I'll have the DBS though.

But yeah, that guy sure as hell deserves loads of respect.

regards
