1:18 Veyron for twice the price of a 1:1 Veyron - ₤2 million

Bugatti Veyron diamond-and-gold scale model even costlier than the real thing — Autoblog

BBC Top Gear -
Rich people have problems too y'know - overly-tight diamond y-fronts, wallets too small for £50 notes, garage too narrow for a Lambo...

Well, on that last note at least, some enterprising folk have engineered an ingenious solution: a solid gold and diamond Bugatti Veyron Model.

The work of Robert Gulpen and Stuart Hughes, this 1/18th scale Bug' is miniaturised not - as we hoped - using frickin' lasers, but rather with 24 karat gold and 7.2 carats worth of diamonds.

The end result is pretty bling, as you can see before you. The price for this fine item? £2 million. More than twice the price of an actual Veyron. Just three will be made.

If you take medication in the mornings and evenings to prevent you from toasting your kittens and filling your car up with cheese instead of petrol, maybe this is for you.

Alternatively, for those of us who prefer our walls in ‘un-padded' flavour, what would you feature in your supercar garage if you had two-mil?

autoblog.com - How do you make the Bugatti Veyron – widely touted as the most expensive new production car in the world – even more costly? By miniaturizing it and forming it completely out of 24 karat gold and 7.2 carats worth of diamonds, naturally. Apparently, this pint-sized Bugatti replica is the work of Robert Gulpen of Munich & Stuart Hughes of Liverpool, and the result is a 1:18 scale Veyron that costs a reported £2 million ($2.93 million at today's exchange rates). Only three will be made.

Now, we don't want you to think we don't appreciate the engineering and detail that went into making this ultimate tribute to the diecast car, especially since this one comes complete with working hoods and steering, but if we were going to be spending that kind of coin on a Veyron, it would definitely be on a real one from the factory floor in Molsheim. That said, this golden supercar would look pretty darn great on our nightstand...

Dont understand the point of creating something like this. No wonder Gold prices are going up .

Only a Veyron fan with money to buy another Veyron will go for something like this.

I think its a total waste!!

If a guy has that much money, buying a real Bugatti veyron makes much more sense!! even if he buys a 2nd one(different color combo)
