heavily camoe'd mystery sedan caught in Detroit-which one is this?

In these pictures posted courtesy autoblog.com, first spy shots of a never before seen sedan has surfaced cruising down downtown detroit.
Usually these kinds of body armour are applied by Germans but these days everyone is using that BMW inspired trademark psychedic camo.
Speculations arise from this being a new ford mondeo/fusion replcement to the new camry to the new nissan altima. Maybe Hyundai?
But Hyundai never uses fake body armour for its cars.
Could be/could be not a chrysler/dodge/GM car.

Can anyone make out which car could this be? No one in the media has been able to speculate which car is this.

Could this be the new Camry ? The current camry came in 2006, so can we expect a new one in 2010, specially in the wake of competition like Sonata and new Jetta ?
Looking at the central line on the boot and the sharp C-pillar, this car could be Chrysler sedan also.
The front logo somehow is looking like Ford.
Now, VW is using Ford logo to disguise its Vento in India. Are they doing the same in US to disguise a new car ?

I dont think Ford, or any company in that situation would sit idle in such situations. Unless this is happening in China ?

The partial front logo visible in the pic definitely looks like the blue oval. So could a new Ford Mondeo/Fusion.

Dont think any company can use the logo of a different company to camo their cars!!

Actually, VW India is using Ford Logo to disguise the Vento sedan being tested in India.

Have a look here :

I am uploading the images from the above mentioned thread.

I would place my bet on Chrysler. With the amount of effort put into its product rejuvenation, it wouldn't be a suprise if Chrysler wanted to hush up any new product testing before an official launch.

Any oval shape on grill does not necessarily mean Ford logo !!!

Quite true !!! But what is to prevent them from putting an oval shape in the grill without the FORD lettering (or better, mask the plain oval with black tape, to make it better).

This could fool us into concluding that it is a Ford car.

No, not at all.

I can only see an oval shaped thing on the grill...that does not mean it is a Ford logo, or a disguised Ford logo, for that matter.

The muscular, raised boot makes me think it is some Chrysler model.

The front grill and the tail lamps resemble the present fiesta, so i am pretty sure this is the new fiesta.

Looking at the downward tail pipe and the extra large silencer/catalytic converter it seems like someone is trying out a new diesel engine.

I dont think it Mondeo, since ford has released the 2011 Mondeo pics

Kinda looks like Atlima in the tail light area
Could be a Subaru, they also have the ovalish logo

Bingo. Not only the badge but boot lid and bumpers as well. That front bumper doesn't gel in with the fender at all.

If you are talking about the white car with red MH plates, its Vento,

But if you are talking about the car spotted at Detroit, its too big to be a fiesta. The car looks as big as a Laura.
Moreover the car doesn't seem to follow Ford's Kinetic Design theory or whatever it is at least the pics suggest so.

It feels more like something from GM.

Regards.
