Great Looking car :) !!
Thanks for sharing.

Given that you have driven other Ferraris how does this feel compared to them esp. Scuderia?

And any updates about 599 GTO?

Cheers !!

WOW!!! You're so lucky to drive the 458 when every auto journalist is cribbing to drive it! Farooq, what do we have to do to get a job with Ferrari? :D

The 458 looks more like the street version of the Enzo and nothing like the F430 that it replaced. Not that i am complaining or anything, it is a Ferrari at the end of the day. The Yellow looked great on the Enzo and since this is on similar grounds, it would suit the 458 too. I personally would want mine in Black. I feel it looks alot meaner and aggressive in black than in any other colour.

Sure does look good ! I love the 458 but if I ever get a Ferrari (Hopefully someday :) ) it's going to be Red. It might be cliche but it just fits the brand image perfecctttly!

We can understand that from your avatar, speedy! :D
The 458 is a stunning looking Ferrari. I'm SO jealous of you, ferrariKSA :Frustrati

great pics!! just curious, whats the current waiting period of one of these babies?? and how many sold in KSA? , if you dont mind revealing??

Thanks Everyone.
ir458 : Every ferrari has its own thrill, But driving a ENZO was out of this world. I enjoyed it the most.
Last week missed the GTO launch party, As GTO are L.E only 599 built. Luckly we have the 1 of 599 here with us waiting to be delivered.
Will attach the pics.

theragingbull : I think i have been blessed to be here. I enjoy every second of it.

speedy : I do agree with you, black is also first choice for me too, Will post the pics when we have a black 458.

Sahil : Hope our dream come true one day 1 red for you and 1 for me.stupid: As of now i am waiting for a scale model of 458.

shamik.bose : Thanks mate, i see this line (I'm SO jealous of you, ferrariKSA) in almost all of my threads, I take it as a compliment.

bivin : since launch we sold around 8 of them, waiting period is only applicable for made to order one`s, The regular one are always available.
like to book one.:D

That IS a great colour, frankly I was wondering just what metallic yellow actually is while clicking on the link to the thread. But somehow... I'm still not convinced about this one. I still think the front looks not-so-hot. Profile and rear though, purrrrfect.

I've this question to ask you for a long time @FerrariKSA. I heard that Ferrari, Italy makes only about certain number of exotic cars to be sold/upgrade to their customers & keeps them ready. Once the customer places the order, it takes about 6 months to customize & sell it to them. Is this true?

Also, I heard that, no matter how much money one has, it takes a different level of status to achieve for one to buy Ferrari. Is that true?

Pls help understand. Tks.

Edit - Thanks for sharing the pics. I loved them.

I think with regular production models, there isn't any restriction.
With L.E. models your relationship with the dealer and previous Ferraris owned come into play.

However if you have too much money, different level of status and taste you can make Ferrari do eccentric things -

Ferrari to build a V12-powered 458 Italia for Eric Clapton

According to Italian magazine Quattroroute it appears that Ferrari receive an unusual request from Eric Clapton, the well-known British guitarist: he wants a Ferrari 458 Italia powered by the V12 engine found on the more potent 599 GTB Fiorano.

Although it seems a though request, it appears that Ferrari accepted this mission and we will see the most powerful 458 Italia on the streets. As a refresher, we will remind you that the standard car carries a 4499 cc mid rear-mounted V8 engine capable to deliver 578 hp @ 9000 rpm and 540 Nm of torque. With these numbers the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds while the top speed is in excess of 325 km/h. The V12 engine found on the 599 GTB Fiorano can deliver an impressive 620 hp which means that it will be capable for better performances. More details to be revealed!
