Looks like Ferrari really don't want people to know what's new and cooking in the factory! It would be disappointing to see a 458-faced 612 replacement. Or are they using these parts (head/tail lights) just to fool people around them?

It's the Ferrari 612 Successor

More spy pics of the 612 successor have surfaced the net lately.
There are rumors of a 670-horsepower 6.3-liter V12 being found underhood, meaning 0-60 should be ripped off in just 3.7 seconds and the car's top speed should be well north of 200 miles per hour.

Here's a rendering by Jon Sibal. His renderings are known to be very similar to the original product.

re: Mystery Ferrari caught outside Maranello. EDIT : It's the 612 Successor!

WTH! 458's head and tail lamps, 612's grille, interiors from a California and one gaudy looking rear. Makes me want to puke seeing this Ferrari, there is a LIMIT for camo'ing a car!

May be its the Camo, but the rear glass is too upright to be of a supercar. Ferrari hatchback or what?

670 horses on snow! What on earth were they testing, the traction control? Rather cool job with the metal camo though. Totally owns the black drapes other test cars wear. Don't miss the tail pipes effect either

I am shocked...doesn't Ferrari have an effective proof-reader? There is no spacing between "on" and "January".

The camo on the ferrari made it look something out of the 70s with that flat nose!

I thought maybe they are doing a retro ferrari of sorts!

Re: Mystery Ferrari caught outside Maranello. EDIT : It's the 612 Successor!

Hey guys! It's here, and it's called the Ferrari Four! A Ferrari shooting brake. With four-wheel drive. What's next? A mud-plugging SUV? Must say, it kind of reminds me of the 250 GT Breadvan racer.

Four-wheel-drive Ferrari shooting-brake revealed - BBC Top Gear

Quote:
You can abandon your preconceived ideas about what a Ferrari should be: the new ‘Ferrari Four' or ‘FF' is set to replace the 612 Scaglietti as Ferrari's big V12 GT car - and it's got a few surprises in store.

Apart from the obvious shooting brake-style body - a cross between an estate and a coupe - the FF also gets four seats and four-wheel drive, a huge step for Ferrari.

The front is basically nicked from the current 458 Italia, but the aluminium spaceframe is entirely new and allows for a pretty useful 450 litres of bootspace, extendable to 800 litres with - wait for it - flip-down rear seats. In a Ferrari.

But the big news remains the all-wheel drive. Ferrari's ‘4RM' system is 50 per cent lighter than a conventional setup, mated to a beefed-up seven-speed dual-shift transmission already used in the California and 458 Italia.

And, interestingly, that seven-speed DCT ‘box has to contend with the might of a re-worked version of Ferrari's rather glorious 6.0-litre V12. Now a 6.2, this reworked Vee sits just behind the front axle and produces 660bhp and 504lb ft of torque. You might be interested to know that in the Four, this 6.2-litre returns 18mpg and emits 360g/km of CO2.

But you'll definitely be more interested in learning that the Four can accelerate from 0-62mph in 3.7 seconds and top 208mph; fast enough to destroy any lingering doubt you still have over that controversial shape.

Underline: The 612 Scaglietti just lost the "The Worst Ferrari of All-Time!" Title.

Re: Ferrari Four (4 Wheel Drive) launched: Pics on page 2

How can a Ferrari be 4 wheel drive! How!! Although the rear looks quite good but I have never liked shooting brake designs hence this also doesn't quite impress me. Man, this ain't a Ferrari!

Re: Ferrari Four (4 Wheel Drive) launched: Pics on page 2

Yuck. To me it looks more of a premium hatch from Alfa Romeo. Shocked to see that this is the next 612, when the current 612 is way too impressive as far as the looks are concerned. I'm not a fan of this design. Hope they don't carry on this design theme to all their future products. That would be my biggest fear.

Re: Ferrari Four (4 Wheel Drive) launched: Pics on page 2

This is horrible. What were the Ferrari designers smoking when they put this to paper? And then to metal? After the astonishing design that was the 458, this is just the opposite. I sincerely hope they do not put it into production.
To quote a not-very well known TV presenter by the name of Jeremy Clarkson, "didn't they just take one step back and LOOK at it once?"
