To see some nice cars and lots of expensive toys, go to Old Bond Street. Also the underground parking lot near the The Royal Albert hall never fails to make your happy. The residential parking level, has some nice classics(E-Type and a 356B), plus a few exotics.

Dhrishikesh - Do you mean hot rods? The Uk does have a hot rod culture but not as big as other parts of the world.

All I know about it is that I've driven past it regularly, but for hot stuff, you might find The Ace Cafe interesting

Nice to see Concorde, but take care: you might get arrested as a suspected terrorist, taking pics around a place like Heathrow, these days

Amazing! I used to use it as a cut-through from North Circular Road to Ealing Road. At the Ealing Road end, there is a sign which says "No Through Route to NCR": it's a lie

Nice photos. Sigh! Just seeing those exotic cars on a gloomy, cold day in London never fails to bring a smile to an enthusiast's face!

Do try to visit Mercedes World at Brooklands while you're there. Trust me, it's worth it. All those cool vintage mercs, not to mention the chance to drive your favourite AMG around a wet track. Nirvana! But you need a Euro license for that.

To top it off, the Brooklands Museum is next door, where you can see some cool retired aircrafts (including the Concorde!) and a few historic race cars...

Spottings in London

These are a few cars I spotted last week when I was down in London for a day. (Sorry about the poor pic quality).

@Cyrus43- I hope you don't mind me posting pics here. Don't mean to hijack the thread. :P .Please feel free to delete if not appropriate.
Cheers,

Nice viewing of the Heathrow Airport. The Concorde may have been grounded as these are not flown anymore.
Another beautiful thing is that one can take pictures in most Western airports as there's no restriction like we have here in our country.
Our laws are though a bit relaxed now for airport photography. The ban still exists wherever there are Air Force bases in airports like in Panaji, Bagdogra and many more places.

You can't rely on that. All kinds of official and semi-official people in UK have completely wrong ideas about what it is illegal to photograph, and yes, that includes the police. Questions have been asked in parliament; statements have been made, and senior offices have issued instructions and guidelines. Somehow, the man on the street often fails to get the point. The fact that the law may not actually be on his side does not prevent him from spoiling your day.

What route is it flying? Thought they were all retired. Sat in one at the Boeing museum in Seattle. From inside, its like a looooong Gulfstream.

All the Concordes were retired after the Paris crash and the last flight was in Nov 2003 between Edinburugh to Bristol ,where(Bristol) the Concordes were manufactured .This historic flight flew several school children,Elton John,Oprah Winfry and other celebrities and flew a very low course over the Clifton Suspension Bridge and landed at Filton Airport in Bristol.
People were crying on the streets in London that day !! I was incidentally working in Leeds at that time.
Now all the concordes are mere exhibits at displays in museums and airports.

Even people with no particular enthusiasm for aircraft loved Concorde --- I suppose that includes me!

I remember feeling sad when I heard they were dismantling the jigs for manufacturing them, thus guaranteeing that no more would ever be built.
