Tick Tick ....brrrrring..well not quite

Well folks, we reached the end. My colleagues were watching the clock since we needed to take in dinner and I needed to catch a flight.

However, this was not the end - we still had to visit the Art Car exhibits and pass through BMW world. I need a break but will update over the long weekend.

Concluding Thoughts - These Bavarians have made displaying cars into an art. I will certainly go again and take my own time and take an audio guide - I normally use these when I visit art galleries in London, you get to learn so many tit-bits

Coming soon

BMW Art Cars

Every now and then BMW commission an artist to use the car as a canvas. Quite a few contemporary modern artists have done their number. A lot of these cars are painted on and raced in key touring car events like the Leman 24 hour.

Cars are immaculately valeted so one would not think that they were raced. There are some 6. 7 and 8 series road cars also. On close observation, you can see the hand painting and brush strokes.

At this point, we were in a big hurry so I did not get most of the artist names

This 5 greeted us at reception, done by a Japanese artist. Light was spoilt by a pesky halogen spot light on top

We scann our ticket through a turnstyle and walk up a spiral path. There are about 5 stages where the cars are exhibited

This is the latest piece by Jeff Koons. I saw a recent exhibit of his art in the Tate Modern last year. Let me say that it would not get published over here. However, this car would be stunning to see at high speed!

Fabulous pictures ajmat. The canvas by Jeff Koons is a real colour trip! Brought back memories of my Oktoberfest fueled trip to the museum. Thanks for sharing.
