Tata owned Jaguar announces a hybrid prototype with a range of 900 km and top speed of 320 Kmph....per the auto section of MSN ( link follows) Jaguar's e-car makes waves - 1 - *Autos - MSN India
Even though just a concept with the added shortcoming ( in my opnion only) of being hybrid as against a pure electric, the range achieved is fantastic. Plus there are addition tehcnological innovations such as miniaturised gas turbines to extend the range instead of just plonking in a gen set based on gasoline/diesel - should have a substantially reduced carbon/noxious gases footprint.
The question now is if any of these developments will make it to production cars for the mass market or not. If so, when?
