The volume gap is clearly reducing.

I am quite surprised to see Cruze selling this close with Corolla. I suppose Cruze has a 1.4L engine in US, isnt it? No wonder it ranks well amongst the fuel efficient cars.

Good performance by Americam Brands. I am happy to see the success of Dodge Caravan, which is well deserved. Infinity going down, but why?

G37 getting older as compared others in the class, ACURA TL ,A4 , now refreshed C class.
Also BMW new 3 is right around the corner.
Others from the stable,(M,QX,FX,EX ) were never best sellers ,IMHO.
Interesting to see camry numbers, I wonder how well did sonata do.

BMW beats Mercedes to claim first U.S. luxury sales crown!

BMW reports "U.S. sales rose 15 percent to 26,834 in December, for an annual total of 247,907. Mercedes said its sales last month climbed 28 percent to 25,701, pushing its tally for the year to 245,192.
The results officially end Lexus' 11-year reign atop the U.S. luxury rankings. The Toyota Motor Corp brand reeled after the March earthquake in Japan disrupted production, finishing the year down 13 percent at 198,552.
Mercedes won the title once, in 1999, before ceding the U.S. crown to Lexus."

Re: Car sales figures America

BMW leads Mercedes by just 36 vehicles after 18% March 2012 gain!

"BMW, helped by a redesigned 3 series and a March sales increase of 18 percent, finished the first quarter with 36 more sales than Mercedes-Benz in the United States.
Sales gains by both BMW and Mercedes last month indicate that the battle to be the top-selling luxury brand in the U.S. will continue through 2012 as inventories and new products arrive in dealerships.
BMW took the top spot last year with a lead of just 2,715 units over its German rival. "We're going to be neck-in-neck," Steve Cannon, CEO of Mercedes's U.S. operations."
