BMW launches a new sub brand - 'i'
BMW today launched a new sub brand on the lines of mini and rolls royce. The new sub brand is called 'i'.
Initially it will have i3 and i8 for production in 2013.
More details on link below.

I feel they should have picked some other name. 'i' is just too common, used by Apple and Hyundai. They could have differentiate it better.
I am quite excited about i8 though.

With Hyundai already using i10, i20, i30, i45 etc, in the auto sector itself if one ignores apple, this seems to be a bad idea.

BMW 'i' is based on
BMW EfficientDynamics Concept
shown at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. Interesting design though.
Yeah they could have used some other alphabet as 'i' in auto sector is associated with Hyundai.

Following up Porsche is BMW with its new age " i " badged electric cars. They used " i "for the Bosch Jetronic fuel injection earlier and now the " i " is for electric.
