To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the E-Type, Jaguar has announced plans to introduce the XKR-S at the Geneva Motor Show.
Designed to be the sportiest Jag ever created, the XKR-S features an aggressive front fascia, black mesh grille inserts, and LED-infused headlights. Other goodies include modified front fenders, aerodynamic side skirts, a prominent rear diffuser, and a massive rear wing.
Under the hood, power is provided by a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine with 550 PS (405 kW / 542 hp) and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque. It enables the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.2 seconds, 0-100 mph in 8.6 seconds, and onto a top speed of 186 mph (300 km/h).
To ensure the XKR-S can handle like a proper sports car, engineers have installed a "bespoke" suspension and a reprogrammed Adaptive Dynamics system.
According to Adrian Hallmark, Jaguar's Global Brand Director, "The XKR-S is a bold and exciting new model for Jaguar. We expect to attract both loyal and new Jaguar driving enthusiasts who still want the comfort, opulence and class only a Jaguar can offer, combined with inspirational performance."

HOT HOT HOT!! Just the perfect alternative to the DBS! Hot looks and scorching performance. Love the new front and headlights. They could have done with a subtler spoiler IMO.

Whoa !! Just when I was admiring the Aston Martin Virage, the Jaguar XKR-S is bang out there. I have a thing or two about British cars and I go gaga over the lines of a Jaguar, Aston Martin and Bentley. But the XKR-S is just so menacing, striking and aggressive. This cat gave me serious crisis.

No complaints in the looks department, although that spoiler looks like a bad aftermarket add-on. The paintjob suits the car really well. But with 550 ps in a lightweight car, 4.2 seconds to 62 seems a bit high. Maybe Jaguar are playing it safe.

I am still not able to like this car in pics.
But boy i was bowled over when i saw one in real (XK-R). Amazing piece of machine it is.

Looks like a million dollars!!! Absolutely love the design. Would have loved another colour though.
